Overview
Greece’s historical highlights span a wide area, making it difficult to cover them on your own. This tour from Athens groups five together, so you’ll cover more ground on your trip. Visit Olympia, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Delphi, and Meteora over four days, with guided tours at each so you delve deeper than you might independently. Accommodation, most meals, and comfortable coach transportation are included to make everything seamless.
What to Expect
On Day 1, board your climate-controlled coach in central Athens and, after seeing the Corinth Canal, venture into the Peloponnese to visit the ancient ruins of Mycenae and Epidaurus, including the latter’s well-preserved theater.

After a night’s stay in Nauplia or Olympia (depending on tour dates), Day 2 brings a tour of Olympia, where the ancient Olympics were held, followed by a journey north for an overnight Delphi stay.

On Day 3, enjoy a guided tour of mountainside ancient Delphi and a visit to Delphi Archaeological Museum before traveling through central Greece to Meteora. After an overnight hotel stay in Kalambaka, spend the morning of Day 4 touring two of Meteora’s extraordinary rocktop monasteries with a guide before returning to the Athens’ starting point where your experience ends.

Your tour includes guided tours at each site, your choice of 3- or 4-star hotel accommodation for three nights, plus free time for lunch (own expense) each day and each evening to enjoy as you wish. Three dinners and three breakfasts, and comfortable coach travel, including pickup and drop-off from selected Athens hotels, are all part of the package.

See the Itinerary below for details of the full schedule.

Great History but Average Accomodations

Our guide Joy was an amazing storyteller and history came alive at the sites we visited. On the long bus rides she entertained us with the stories of Greek Mythology. This made the trip a very positive experience. Otherwise, it was 25 people on a...More

A disappointment on several levels

Generally our expectations for tour bus experiences are not high. This CHAT tour, which we booked through Viator, didn't meet even our low expectations. - The tour guide was excellent BUT one quide for 44 people? Difficult to hear her in crowded tourist sites. Impossible...More

There were a few solo travellers in our group and it wasn’t an issue at all. We went in April so it was a comfortable, small group with loads of room to spread out on the coach and the weather wasn’t too hot. It might be... More

One or two of the days involved a bit of walking - in particular a climb to the stadium above Delphi. It was worth it though and you could have just gone to the main site and not as far as the stadium and it would still have... More

I found them very helpful on the phone. They speak English. There will be a number you can call on your email / tripadvisor booking and if not look up the Amalia Hotel in Athens as they are connected.
