The Douro Valley is stunning and a must-see if you are in the area. Our driver Delfina was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable of the Duro Valley and drove the mountains area as if she had memorized the roads. The van was very comfortable, and the ride was smooth. The roads are very curvy in Douro, so keep that in mind if you get carsick. Our tours ran long, and Delfina allowed us to stay longer than our day planned for. The red wines are not as fully body as I prefer in comparison than those from the Daos region, but that did not detract from the visit at all. Delfina and her team made the trip very enjoyable.

We booked a day trip to Fatima from Porto and Carlos was our guide. He could speak English very well and was able to explain the sights to us. He also waited patiently for us when we wanted to go for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Endless Weekend Tours. We highly recommend this company. First, Carlos, our transfer guide, met us at the airport promptly and drove us to our hotel in a comfortable SUV. He was friendly, helpful, and informative. On August 26, we booked a private tour from Porto to Fatima, with a stop at the Alcobaça Monastery. Our guide and driver, Delfina, was fantastic! We found her accommodating, knowledgeable, flexible, and patient. We highly recommend her to anyone visiting Fatima. It was a long day, but Delfina ensured we saw all the critical points of interest, including Mass at the main church. We also had a wonderful time at the Alcobaça Monastery. We will definitely use Endless Weekend Tours the next time we are in Portugal!

My wife and I enjoyed our trip with Carlos immensely. Carlos picked us up at our hotel right on time and we headed out of Porto to Alcobaca. On the drive Carlos shared a lot of the history of Portugal, its geography and political evolution. We arrived at Alcobaca right as the monastery was opening, allowing us a relatively uncrowded tour of the facility. Then off to Nazare where we were able to drive up to and park right at the lighthouse because of a pass that Carlos had purchased (no need to make the long walk or pay for a ride on a tuk-tuk). We were able to climb onto the roof of the museum/lighthouse to view the waves and the beach as well as the village of Nazare itself. Back into the van to drive back into Nazare itself where Carlos dropped us off so we could get some lunch at one of the many restaurants (parking was in short supply). After lunch we contacted Carlos so he could pick us up and take us to see the harbor and extensive fish drying area. Throughout the drives Carlos explained many of the customs and history of the area. In addition, Carlos also gave us several suggestions of what to see and do when we continued our vacation in the southern portion of Portugal. He even took us for a few "bonus" sites to see in Porto and Gaia since we had some time left over at the end of the day (my wife and I were the only ones on the tour, so we were very time efficient). Carlos grew up in Gaia and his pride and knowledge of the area and his country served to enhance our experience and made the day a worthwhile adventure.

This was our third trip with Carlos and he definitely does not disappoint. From fresh bread from a local bakery to a delicious lunch in the most beautiful surroundings at a Quinta. We had been to the Douro before but Endless Weekend put together an itinerary that was new and different, including watching a river cruise go through the dam as well as wine and port tasting. We plan to return again in the future and will be asking Endless Weekend to put together another itinerary for us. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous trip from Lisbon to Porto. Carlos is so knowledgeable and provided lots of information at every stop. He also managed to navigate around road closures and got us to Porto on time. We really enjoyed the trip, including the great recommendation for lunch. I would definitely recommend as the best way to get from Lisbon to Porto.

Booked in Sept, got advised there was a 'payment problem' 2 days before the trip and told to rebook. Of course the price had gone up substantially and now I can't find anything else.

The driver was fantastic and made a lot of effort to make our trip pleasant. Very knowlegable and we felt safe with him as driver. Can strongly recommend Carlos.

Delfina was great as our guide and we had a good time on this trip. She gave us excellent restaurant recommendations for lunch for vegetarian and on the way back stopped for pasta da nata before we came back to our hotel.

To add to our wine tasting experience he also translated to us a tour from Portuguese to English (as we had to take that due to time constrain. The lunch recommendation was perfect for us. Carlos was an excellent host in his very well appointed vehicle. He took us up close to many of the historic buildings and places of interest and had a detailed knowledge of the history of the area. It was a hot day so the water and air conditioning in the car was most welcome. It was great to meet a local with a personal view of local histories. As this is a car it is a small group and a good opportunity to ask questions and really get the flavour of the area. Highly recommended.

Had a great tour with Carlos today. We were a party of 4. The vehicle was very comfortable & well air conditioned. We saw the highlights of Porto and were very impressed with Carlos’ knowledge of the history of Porto. He went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic day.
