Overview

Cover more ground in less time on this active and informative 3-hour bike tour of Porto. Ideal for families, this tour covers the beaches, historic quarter, and port-side splendor of Porto at a leisurely pace suitable for all fitness and skill levels. Tick off top attractions such as São Francisco Church, Ponte de Don Luis I, and the Ribeira District, and pedal along a safe, pedestrianized route to the Porto wine cellars and the beaches of Foz. This small-group tour is limited to 8 people.

What to Expect

Make your own way to the Biclas & Triclas store, located on Rua da Arméni beside a fountain. Here, you’ll greet your guide, don your helmet, and receive a short safety briefing before setting off.

Begin in Porto’s historic quarter, pedaling past landmarks such as Alfândega do Porto and the Arrábida Bridge at a leisurely pace. During intermittent stops, your guide provides history-rich commentary and encourages you to capture photos of landmarks.

Next, head to the Foz and Matosinhos beaches to admire their gorgeous golden sands. Admire the imposing silhouette of Queijo Castle, cross the green expanse of City Park, and then traverse the River Douro by boat.

The Ponte de Dom Luis I, Porto wine cellars, and São Francisco Church also feature on the tour itinerary before it concludes back at the original departure point on Rua da Arméni.

Tour of Porto river banks and park

Guides know the history well. Route is mostly flat. Bikes are very good quality. Lovely way to see around the city and the banks of the River Douro
