Overview
The deep waters off Madeira Island are home to a dazzling array of marine life, with dolphins and whales sharing the waves with birds, turtles, and more. On this wildlife-spotting adventure, take to the seas for up-close sightings of the native Bottlenose Dolphins, Sperm Whales, Spotted Dolphins, and Pilot Whales who call Madeira home. Enjoy free time to snorkel at your leisure—depending on the season—with a second trip guaranteed if you make no sightings.
What to Expect
Trips are made in three fast semi-rigid type boats. Two vessels with 18 seats, and a vessel with 14 seats. Each boat trip is about 2h30. The boats are fully equipped with life vests and ecologic engines. We start in our office, 15 minutes before each boat trip, with a short introduction of Cetaceans in Madeira and then the adventure starts! Marine Biologists will take you to the harbor, Marina do Funchal, where are the boats. In Madeira Island it is possible to observe about 28 different species of Whales and Dolphins (Summer and Winter species). The most common species are Bottlenose Dolphins; Spotted Dolphins; Common Dolphins; Stripped Dolphins; Risso´s Dolphins; Sperm Whales; Pilot Whales; Fin Whales; Bryde Whales) . We guarantee you will see Cetaceans, if not we promise you a second trip, absolutely free!!! Boat trip can go from the East to the Wets of the Coast of Madeira Island, depending where are the group of Cetaceans. In Summer season its possible to stop in Cabo Girão Bay, for a free diving, about 15 minutes!

Wonderful experience - caring of marine wildlife and environment

We booked the first trip of the day - this seems to be the quietest time to take the trip. The marine biologist suggested that this was a good time to go as as the dolphins were less likely to be disturbed. The company is...More

Amazing opportunity to see whales and dolphins in the wild

Of all the dolphin watching tours, we picked this one because of its focus on seeing the wildlife rather than going on a sunshine cruise. Staff were friendly and professional, the rib was in excellent condition, and we had an amazing trip, seeing dozens of...More

Before we went on holiday, our daughter said that she really wanted to swim with dolphins, so after reading reviews of several companies, we chose this one. Just hubby and daughter went in the end, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately they were unable to...More
