Sintra and Cascais Small-Group Day Trip from Lisbon
US$87.61
Overview
Unless you rent a car, traveling between the dispersed landmarks of Sintra and Cascais is a difficult task. Journey along Lisbon’s Atlantic coast with ease on a small-group day trip, limited to just eight people to guarantee personalized attention from your guide. Take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Pena National Palace, enjoy time at your leisure in the historic center of Sintra, and stop at the affluent coastal town of Cascais.
What to Expect

This guided tour begins in central Lisbon. Greet your guide and board an air-conditioned minivan destined for Sintra. Your first stop is Pena National Palace, where you can explore the neighboring Pena Park and take a guided tour of the colorful palace.

After ample time to photograph the UNESCO World Heritage Site, take advantage of free time to wander the historic center of Sintra and purchase lunch (own expense). Once you’ve reconvened with your guide, return to the coach and travel past Quinta da Regaleira and the Palace of Monserrate.

Stop at the cliffside lookout point of Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, and pay a brief visit the Hell’s Mouth (Boca da Inferno) and Cascais, a charming seaside resort. Here you can enjoy some time to stroll along the beach.

Your tour concludes at your original departure point in Lisbon.

Excellent tour, awesome guide!

The day tour was wonderful! Our guide was Mar (Marillia) and she was lovely! Since we had to wait a few minutes for some of our group we left a little later than planned so Mar suggested we do the tour in reverse in order...More

Brilliant tour, far easier to be tripping around all these locations with our very informative tour guide Filipe, you couldnt do all that and for the money taking a cab, or hiring a car, the locations were far too busy to park up. The Pena...More

Rainy day trip Sintra and Cascais

Guide Miguel was very good and helpful. Small group format works well with just 8 plus the driver / guide. Sintra is worth a visit for both the Palace and the town. Coba Roca is like our lands end in Cornwall but with fewer facilities....More

I believe that would be up to your tour guide. A better alternative would be to book a Sintra only tour. The advantage of a Sintra only tour is that your tour guide and itinerary will be prepared in advance and you will... More

I don’t believe that is ossible on a group trip. Maybe if you inquire about a private tour. We, 4 of us, had to meet the group in downtown Lisbon.

It was not included or even mentioned on this itinerary. Maybe if you stay in the area after the tour is done, you could arrange for that and then go back to Lisbon on your own. Lisbon is only 30 minutes away on public... More
