Caves and Dolphin Watching Cruise from Albufeira
US$41.10
Overview
Avoid the hassle of renting and navigating a boat in unfamiliar territory on a stress-free dolphin watching cruise from Albufeira. A small, motorized boat grants you access to the hard-to-reach caves and grottoes that line Albufeira's coast, while a guide transports you to places with increased dolphin activity. A great option for families, this experience combines education with entertainment.
What to Expect
Meet at Albufeira Marina a little before your departure time. Check in, hop aboard a small boat, and get ready to cruise the Atlantic Ocean.

Once you get out on the water, relax as your guide takes you to areas to see views of the nearby sandstone cliffs. Head toward Carvoeiro Beach, and get the chance to explore the caves.

Afterward, your guide knows some of the best places to spot dolphins. A sighting is not 100-percent guaranteed, but you can possibly see two types of dolphins, common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins. If you do spot them, chances are they’ll be swimming close to your boat in their natural habitat.

Your guided tour ends when your boat reaches the Albufeira Marina and docks.

Worth a trip

We booked the excursion via Tui (very good rep - but im sure you could save money by booking directly) this included our transport from the hotel to the marina and back, very good. The boat was running late (we were kept updated) and we...More

Experience worth it!

I’ve had the Insonia-caves and dolphin cruise and I can highly recommend it. The cruise took 2 hours. It starts with the dolphins seeing and we were lucky to be able to see dolphins. And it then continues with a gorgeous cruise along the Algarve...More

No dolphins but still a good boat trip

Exhilarating boat trip along the south coast and then into many caves along the coast. No dolphins on this journey but still good fun. 12 seater boat with 2 crew. Juan and Enrique (apologies if spelling poor) were both characters with plenty of banter and...More

Amazing time

Went out for 2 hours, 1 hour on the sea looking for dolphins and found them in under 30 mins. Fast boat, good size as you can go into the caves, highly recommended!

Fantastic

Went out with Marcel at the helm and Davida (apologies if that is spelled wrong) telling us the key info. Amazing trip. We came across two groups of dolphins (see pic) and spent time watching them, chatting about them and just having an amazing time....More

Life jackets were provided, and required. We took our 4 year old and he loved it, so 6 and 9 should be the same. I would recommend the smaller Insonia boat.

It;s a great trip but quite rough going out to the dolphins. The rib we were in was driven very fast and there was quite a bit of buffeting. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for a baby.
