About
If you are the sporty type and enjoy a sightseeing run, then this activity is definitely something for you. This is a leisure run (jog), where you see all Ghent's main attractions and more. For example Vrijdagmarkt and the statue of Ghent's hero Jacob Van Artevelde, Graslei & Korenlei, the three medieval towers of Ghent such as the Saint Nicholas Church, the Ghent Belfry and the Saint Bavo Cathedral, the city pavilion and city hall and much more.
This is not a competition but a relaxing jog, where you cover more ground and see more sights as a result. Everyone is welcome! Even unexperienced runners can join in as we can walk between sights as well if that is what you prefer.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- E5682XFbarbarad0 contributionsFun beer tasting tourSo much fun and we are not beer drinkers. Tiago was fantastic. Great walking tour even in the rain. He explained different chocolate symbols on windows so we knew who won awards when we wanted to purchase chocolate. We each got a bag of chocolate to taste with the beer, then French fries and different mayo tastes, and finally four different beers to samples. A very enjoyable tour and definitely recommend it.Written 20 October 2024
- S4346TLericas0 contributionsA must-do in Belgium for chocolate lovers! We had the best time with our tour guide Sophie! The meeting point was very clear and we found her right away. We very much enjoyed the walking tour sprinkled with interesting facts about Ghent as well as the history of Belgium. It was very informative and she went out of her way to answer all our questions. And of course the chocolate was delicious! For me personally, it was a little too much. At each stop, there were about three pieces of chocolates so in all about 10 chocolates plus a chocolate waffle and a large hot chocolate. Everything was so amazing but I think providing a to go box would have made the experience a lot more enjoyable. When in Belgium you must try the amazing chocolate and trying it with a guide to explain each unique piece and the history behind each store made it so much better!! I would recommend it.Written 30 July 2024

- Sedgwall0 contributionsInteresting food tourSofie was informative, lively, and helpful. She crafted a tour that met the interests and requirements of our small group, introducing us to quintessentially Belgian food (croquettes), vegetarian dishes (apparently a large market in Ghent), cheeses, and of course, chocolates. We wandered about the touristy area of Ghent as she pointed out locations that were worth a later visit, and she wove historical and socioeconomic information into her presentations, such as the dragon atop the medieval belfry downtown.Written 19 June 2023
- ebburke50 contributionsGhent lunch and walking tourSophia was a terrific guide. Even though weather was miserable the tour was still great. Her choice of restaurant was good. The frites there were the best we had in Belgium. The candy tasting was yummy! WeWritten 29 September 2022
- bobmU3519BY0 contributionsFun in the sunI really enjoyed the tour, but that was primarily due to the tour guide Sophie allowing the small group to chat and get to know each other. The food ( almost a side show) was good and diverse. For me the only reason 4 and not 5 stars was not enough history about where we were walking or what we were seeing.Written 10 October 2021
- Dianna S0 contributionsGreat fun led by a knowledgeable localSophie was a fabulous guide and we thoroughly enjoyed this mix of city history and chocolate tasting. We highly recommend any of her tours if you want to learn from a local who truly cares about giving you a positive experience. We met local chocolatiers and saw out of the way attractions. Sophie as was patient when I frequently stopped to take photos. We also receiced great suggestions for dinner later, that we enjoyed.Written 5 October 2021
