Marco is an excellent guide. He arranged a custom bike tour for my fiancee and I on short notice: finding e-bikes, getting them to our starting point, and guiding us skillfully from Dordrecht to Kinderdijk. Because he has lived in Kinderdijk area for many years, he was able to arrange an amazing, detailed tour of a local windmill that I will never forget.

We did this tour in May 2024. There was four of us in the tour with Marco and also Rico, a guide in training. We met Our guides at the boat taxi and took a short trip on the river to Kinderdijk. Marco and Rico we very knowledgeable about the area and were very easy to converse with during the trip. We then stopped at a wonderfull pastry shop. Then walked to get great views of the windmills. We went inside the windmill and then took the boat ride back to the shops for shopping. Then back on the boat to the dock. Marco was knowledgeable about photography and took many scenic photos of us with our phones. We only had phones for pictures but Marco was able to operate a variety of cameras. He even showed us a thing or two about how to use our phones. This was a very enjoyable tour. The walking was on even ground and not strenuous. I highly recommend taking this tour

It is a must-go experience, riding a bike in this historical and charming site, seeing the windmills and fields. The trip also includes the waterbus from Rotterdam which gave you good sightseeing on the shoreline. The guide Marco is excellent and attentive. He shared good information about the area, Kinderjik. It’s easy pace ride and we went 2.5 hours without knowing it. Good point stops we could take a break and nice pictures. I came from Amsterdam and it’s only 30 mins train if you can catch the direct train. The whole trip started 10am ended at 3pm, I could still spend couple more hours in Rotterdam for sightseeing.

Marco was an excellent host and guide. Very attentive and made sure we knew exactly where to go and what to do. He lives in Kinderdijk so took us a little off the beaten path and to the best places for photos. He is a very good photographer! The tour can be as short or as long as you wish given the boat schedule from Rotterdam, which makes it really nice. Also, if you are a birder, it is wonderful. Highly recommend this tour and Marco as your guide. It is not strenuous. It is relaxing, and the air is as fresh as it gets.

My son and I did this tour mid November with Marco. He picked us up at our hotel in Rotterdam and guided us every step of the way as we boated to Kinderdijk, teaching us about the area. It was a lovely relaxing and scenic day for both of us. Highly recommend!

I have nothing but praise for Marco who went out of his way to make this tour a special day and to accommodate my requests. I’m a newbie photographer, and I learned lots. Marco was patient and creative with an excellent eye to choose the best spots. The site itself is stunning and a photographer’s dream, and there’s time to visit inside a windmill too. 5 stars all the way!

An amazing and relaxed bicycle tour through the countryside and into the Kinderdijk windmill area. Marco is informative, personable and fits the tour to your interest. He also knows the best angles for beautiful photos.! There was time to walk through the windmill that is now a museum and stop at the local cafe (with gorgeous views of the windmills) for a coffee and desert.

Our guide, Marco, was so kind and knowledgeable— it was such a fun time! Would absolutely recommend.
