      Poor experience
Watch out the Albanian girl with glasses. She is fake and skinny, currently sit at lower level of Door 25, right between the ACK Tiger Bar and Shoarma Restaurant (opposite to the Red Light Tattoo) Absolutely nightmare with no service at all.

      A WalkOn Red Pavers
The great variety of the ladies displaying their assets. The quick closing of the drapes if they spotted a camera or a cell phone. One highlight was a member of the sexual workers union opening up her shop and explaining how the union helped the workers.

      Great tour
We did a guided tour with Mark. He was really informative, telling us about the history of the area, as well as lots of funny stories and interesting facts. It made exploring the area comfortable and enabled us to see it through a local's lens and appreciate more to the area than if we'd gone it alone.

Fantastic tour of the Red Light District
Mark was an awesome tour guide! This tour was very informative and included tons of information about the entire history of the Red Light District from the beginnings until now. Mark also included some information about the city in general. Mark was very friendly and entertaining throughout the tour with a smile and great stories! Mark allowed us to ask as many questions as we could think of and did not rush us at any point during the tour. Absolutely would recommend as part of a trip to Amsterdam!

      Best Tour in Amsterdam
I saw this tour as the #1 thing to do in Amsterdam on Trip Advisor, and it was fantastic! We learned so much about Amsterdam, the Red Light District, the women's jobs, etc. Our tour guide gave my husband and I a private tour, just the three of us, and it felt very private and personable. We got to know our tour guide, who is a local, and he was very open to answering any and all questions we had. I 1000% recommend this tour if you're looking for something fun to do in Amsterdam! We felt very safe and comfortable the whole time.

      VIP RED LIGHT DISTRICT TOUR
Felicia was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and open to any question we had. We enjoyed the banter, the jokes and the serious information about her trade. The stroll through the district, the alleys, the view of the room and explanation of the working relationships were all beneficial in gaining a full understanding. Would highly recommend this tour.

      Amazing experience!
We had a great tour with Felicia. Not only was she very friendly and sweet, she was open to ANY questions we might have (and we had a lot!!!!!). It was great we were only 4, as it would have been way too stressful with a bigger group. We would consider booking another tour next time just to ask more questions - SO interesting and again, Felicia was great.

      Real and Informative
This tour was really awesome! Our guide was really real and honest with us and told us all about her experience answering all of our questions without any hesitation. She really knew her stuff and she was really interesting to talk with. She only does small groups which I highly recommend because it's much more comfortable, both topic-wise and space wise in the small streets of Amsterdam.

      Great Experience
I booked the tour with my husband, there were another couple with us, only 4 of us, it felt very private and exclusive. We got to know lots of things behind the scenes, how this industry operates, and the history of the district ect, we love the exceptional experience.

      Up close and personal look
Felicia provides a very informative, fact-based tour. Her candor was highly appreciated; she will answer any questions you have. We were surprised to learn that the industry isn't regulated by the government and, in fact, Amsterdam is making moves to shut it down. So you have any curiousity about this at all, you need to go before it's gone.Tour size is very small; she told us she keeps it to 2-4 people. You will receive a very personal tour.

      Great tour and very informative
My wife and I booked this tour because it's something different. We met Felicia at the designated venue and joined another couple on the tour. Felicia took us around the various red light district areas and explained a lot about them and the girls that work in them, going into some detail about the life of the working girls and how they set up and operate as a registered business. At the end of the tour, we visited one of the brothel (empty room of course) to see the working environment first hand. We weren't sure what to expect, but it more clinical that we had perhaps imagined. All in all, it was avery enjoyable couple of hours and informative too.

      Great experience
Felicia was great. She told us lots of interesting facts about Red Light District and ladies working day. As it was behind the scenes we were expecting a bit more of what was described in the tour advert. Like to talk to one of ladies standing in the window or visiting Banana Bar and not only looking at that from 200m distance. Description should be more accurate. Other than that, very much recommend.

A great tour of Amsterdam's Red Light District with Mark
We picked RLD Amsterdam Tours for our tour of Red Light District because we wanted to learn first-hand how it's like living in such an iconic neighborhood from someone who actually lives in De Wallen. Our guide Mark was great! His tour was full of interesting fun facts and personal experiences. We really liked the fact he spoke with respect about the girls working in the area, since he personally knows most of them. The tour was a truly eye-opening experience and we felt safe and comfortable while having a great time in the city of Amsterdam. I would very much recommend it!

As an actual sex worker, the guide is able to provide a unique perspective on the Red Light District. Ask questions - she is happy to answer them. The tour includes a walk past brothels and stops outside of peep shows and a condomerie. If you want to see a lot of women, take the 9 p.m. tour. You’ll still see women on the 7 p.m. tour, but not as many, as they are just beginning their shift.

This is an updated review. Above, is my original review.

A manager replied to my initial review and insinuated that I didn’t like the tour because I went at 7 p.m. and didn’t see many girls, stating that my review was unfair. Rather than apologizing for not providing an excellent experience, they suggested that I book the 9 p.m. tour and they would provide the same “excellent experience” that they did before. The absence of women in the windows is not the reason for my average rating, so I thought I should provide a more thorough explanation.

My average rating is due to two reasons: 1) the customer service provided on the tour and 2) the tour did not meet my expectations. The tour guide was not friendly and made little effort to engage our small group. Aside from answering a few questions about her profession, the guide provided little information on the Red Light District that could not be gained by simply walking the streets. At the end of the tour, she left us at the opposite end of the Red Light District and went to get coffee. She made it clear that she didn’t want to walk us back to where the tour originated, even though she had another tour departing from that same location. There were others in my group who were not comfortable walking back alone, so I volunteered to walk with them, going out of my way.

I realize my rating reflects the service provided by one guide in particular - other guides may provide a better experience. Perhaps our guide was having a bad day and didn’t provide the level of service she usually does. However, I can only review the tour as I experienced it. Given the tour I received, an average rating is quite generous.

The company responded to my reviews and reviews similar to mine, implying those reviews are unfair and deferring to more positive reviews. Instead of disregarding these reviews, perhaps they should acknowledge the concern and look at ways to improve. Their responses only emphasize my concern for their customer service.

If you look at my other reviews, you’ll see that most are very positive. I often look at reviews when traveling, and I take pride in providing reviews that accurately reflect my experiences - good, bad or in between.

Debated between taking this tour and the ‘standard’ guided tour of the RLD, and super happy about going with this one! Felicia was a fantastic tour guide - she covered the history and major landmarks very thoroughly, while giving a very unique and interesting insider’s insight on the business, trends, and the local institutions, all in good humor. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to understand more about the district!

Our guide, Felicia, was excellent. She was friendly, engaging, and patiently answered our questions, even though I’m sure she’s heard all of them before. The tour was well organized and the small group atmosphere made everyone feel more comfortable. Highly recommend.

This tour was very educational and fun. The guide provided sound knowledge on the Red Light District, the nature of sex work and information about some of the history of Amsterdam and how the outskirts and the canals of the Red Light District were once part of the harbour where the ships and boats would come in.
