Fun times on the streets of Amsterdam
David from Canada was super nice and shared a great deal of knowledge with us. He related very well to all of us in the group. David would answer all our questions. The time on walk went by very quickly since he was so engaging with all of us

    Fantastic Tour!
Although my friend and I were the same Bly people on the tour, our guide (and his dog Tolkein) could not have been more welcoming. A fascinating and informative tour which I would highly recommend. Thank you!

    Informative tour.
Excellent tour with Shawn on 10/14. Very informative at we learned so much about the history and beautiful architecture. The tour was 2 hours not 3 hours as I originally thought.

Informative, fun and entertaining guide. Certainly knew his history. Spoke a little quickly, great for English speakers.

    Interesting Amsterdam!
We had a small group of 8, all of us having similar interests so it worked really well. Terry is friendly, knowledgable about the City and provides a non-Dutch perspective. The 3 hours flew by. Would definitely recommend him.

    Informative walking tour
We were a group of 10 people from all our world's continents. All were English speaking. Terry our guide was from Ireland. He was informative and had great knowledge of the Dutch history. The only drawback was his Irish accent. My husband and I are from Norway and had to concentrate really hard to understand what he said.

Sean's knowledge of the history of Amsterdam was extensive and his descriptions entertaining. His dog was an amusing distraction at times. Sean gave us several tips on places to visit (Haarlem in particular) or things to do, several of which we did, and which proved to be spot on.
We came to agree with his (mildly controversial) views on Rembrandt v. Van Gogh!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour tour and appreciated Sean’s guidance and also his clarity in his presentation. The tour gave us an overview of the city and an opportunity to learn some history of Amsterdam without getting too bogged down with information overload.
We would recommend this tour. There is 3 hours steady walking but we, as seniors, coped adequately.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If anyone is wondering my tour only goes 2.5 km. We do stand when we reach a point of interest, or when someone stops when I am answering a question.

David was the best! He was so personable and had a deep, historical understanding of the city. It's obvious he loves where he lives. He took us back in the nooks and crannies of Amsterdam and completely changed my opinion of the city. I didn't want the tour to end. He pointed out great restaurants, gathering places and places of historical interest. His depth of knowledge was evident!! It MADE my visit to the city worthwhile.

Max was great. They were 8 of us and he talked as we walked. We went all over Amsterdam, he pointed out highlights, threw in some history to get a perspective on the information. He was funny, entertaining and answered all the questions we had. He pointed out restaurants along the way. It was truly the perfect way to start our visit to Amsterdam because it gave us the lay of the land and canals.

Wow...is the best description! I've taken dozens of walking tours over the years but traveling with David was one of the best. If you are looking for someone who can provide a lot of detail - I would highly recommend him.

Guide was Sean. He’s an American who has lived in Amsterdam over twenty years and seemed to know his stuff. And his approach was kind of as a outsider looking in. Different and interesting. Small group. Focused on the old section and it’s history. Focused on the people as much as the buildings which was something different, interesting, and much appreciated. We walked for almost three hours.

This was a great introduction to Amsterdam. We were a small group of five (2 Americans, 2 Australians and a Korean). Sean our guide had a good knowledge of the culture and history of Amsterdam and it’s people which he shared with us clearly and humorously. He took us off the beaten track at times to show us stuff not normally covered by other tours and explained things in a lot of detail..

Had a great time walking through the Amsterdam historical center learning the history and the presence of its highlights. Our tour guide, being an American living in Amsterdam, related the experience to visitors well. Very personable and helpful also with our dining and other city plans.
