Meet your guide in central Zurich, and head for the charming ski resort of Grindelwald aboard a comfortable coach. Learn about the Bernese Oberland region as you pass through the Swiss countryside. Stop in Interlaken long enough for a quick photo and a hot drink (own expense).
Upon arrival in Grindelwald, board a classic cogwheel train for a ride up the UNESCO-listed Jungfraujoch mountain, aptly nicknamed the “Top of Europe” for its incredible summit at 11,330 feet (3,450 meters).
Disembark at the summit for stunning views of the Alpine landscape from the Sphinx Observatory and a guided tour through the frozen tunnels of the Ice Palace.
Enjoy free time to dine or explore before re-boarding the train and meeting your coach for the return journey to Zurich.
A journey to the UNESCO-listed Jungfraujoch mountain is well worth the views, but it can be quite the hassle planning your visit. A guided day trip is the easiest way to visit Switzerland’s must-see mountaintop, with additional pit stops at Interlaken and Grindelwald for a deeper look at Bernese Oberland culture. Plus, you're sure to stay comfortable in any weather during your ride from and to Zurich in a climate-controlled vehicle.

A great day trip to Alps and enjoy breathtaking scenery
This is a day long trip (12 hrs) but well worth it. You get to see the country outside Zurich and breathtaking scenery of mountains and lakes. The trip has a short stop at Interlaken, a nice town overlooking hills with various shops. A good...More

A Must See!
My husband and I went on this trip with our two children. I'd been in two minds whether to book as it was so expensive for the four of us - I am so glad I did. It turned out that we chose the perfect...More

What they dont tell you
Yes, this is everything everyone says. If you can only do one excursion make it this one. The reviews helped us plan our trip but I would also point out .... the 2 hour bus ride is brutal. If you have a weak stomach pack...More

Best day trip you'll experience
This was the most memorable day trip! It's 12 hours long - 8am-8pm from Zurich, but it was worth all the effort. The guides - Bayot and David - made the bus ride from Zurich to the mountainside easy and interactive, while giving us a...More

Well worth the effort. The tour guide was excellent, as was everything else with this day-tour.
Jungfrauloch - absolutely fascinating and spectacular.
Interlachen - think I 'll have to revisit.
My only MINOR issue was the slightly cramped conditions on the bus - I kept...More

Hi. It is always a risk regarding weather. We checked the forecast when we got to Zurich and picked what looked like the best day weather wise, to do this particular tour. Also, up in the Alps, you are probably above most of the clouds anyway, so if it's raining it Zurich, it may not be the same up in the mountains.
Your hotel will be able to book it for you. I don't think there is is much advantage pre-booking.
Weather in September? Sorry, I can't help, but being Autumn, I would imagine it would be OK. Don't forget, it is VERY cold up the top of these mountains, regardless of season. Although you are probably used to extremes of temperature coming from Delhi - I've been there (Delhi) many times.
