      Excellent!
This was an outstanding guided tour. The young lady (sorry I don't have the name but it started with "L") was very knowledge able and professional despite a cantankerous participant. Very professional. She helped us understand the background and importance and history of what we were looking at. Would recommend highly. Small group and no flag or umbrella to follow!!

      Best tour in Florence.
The tickets to visit the museum independently were sold out. We really wanted to visit the Bargello, so our only option was to book a tour—and we were so glad we did! My husband and I visited the museum on August 19, 2024 at 10am and were fortunate enough to have a private tour. Unfortunately, we don’t remember our tour guide’s name, but she was absolutely fantastic and very passionate about her job. She was very knowledgeable, and we learned so much about the various items in the museum, including amazing facts about Donatello and Da Vinci. If you get an opportunity to visit, book a tour guide—you’ll learn so much more than you would on your own.

Disappointing. Will not tell my son to visit Boboli
I have always heard of the famous Boboli Gardens. My father told me after a world travel more than 40 years ago that Boboli was the most beautiful and impressive he had ever seen. This after coming from the garden paradise that is Jamaica. It was number 1 on our itinerary. Unfortunately getting to the Piti Palace in Florence by taxi or walking is not easy and we arrived late. The group we were with had already left for the tour and we were expected to catch up. We never did as there was no way to contact or locate the guide . So we walked it alone. Boboli was obviously living in the past. There were few gardens and a lot of dry unkempt areas. Mythological ot was intact with many statues of Roman and Greek gods and a steep climb to a great view of mansions in the hills surrounding the peak in addition to a stunning view of the duomo and piti Palace. The carved stone head of Piti was the highlight. There was also gardens closer to the palace and a lemon garden as well with a statue of lacoon . It might have been that our visit was at the wrong time of year but we were dissapointed.

      beautiful and special place.
An absolute must see and for only 8 euros a bargain! Lovely respectful atmosphere with so much beautiful architecture and interiors to admire. Stunned to find tombs of Galileo and Michelangelo, really quite special. Followed the signs outside to beautiful cloisters which were just charming. A highlight of our trip and not too busy or too touristy. Highly recommend.

Beautiful gardens, great views, calm and serene
Wow. What an experience. Beautiful gardens, it's hard to fathom what kind of money would have been needed for this level of loveliness. Beware some nice steep climbs, bit comes with cracking views, lots of picture opportunities and a nice Calming alternative to the very people dominated other areas. Can go into the back of Pitti Palace too. Enter via porta romana, much quieter. Lovely park next door too (free)

      Michelangelo's final resting place.
Guido was excellent , he was passionate, a great storyteller , knowledgeable and it was a great experience because the tour was just me and my wife. The church was gorgeous and there was so much history there, i'm surprised more people don't talk about this church. Michelangelo , Galileo and Machiavelli are all buried here. Me and wife were super impressed at Guido's breadth of knowledge and confidence at such a young age. One of the best things about this tour is it was one of the least crowded and shortest ones we did.

      Great sandwiches
The name of the shop is a little misleading as I had one of the best sandwiches there!! There are several tables in side so I sat in the window and got a huge chicken salad sandwich and yummy potato salad.

      A first rate tour
We took a tour of Santa Croce with Dan Harper. He was great! The tour was Free. You pay for your ticket to the church and he asks for a small donation for the church. He gave a 2 1/2 hour nonstop tour and took pictures of each tour member with your phone camera. He has a wealth of knowledge and shares great stories and historical perspectives about the church and those buried or assumed to be buried in the church. Did I say the tour is Free. Dan can be reached at danharperflorence@gmail.com.

      Good tour!
Our guide Hilaria met us by the Bargello entrance. She was friendly, knowledgeable & easy to understand. The museum was worth the visit. No lines, not crowded. Many interesting sculptures, including 3-4 by Michelangelo. Glad we went on this tour.

Best Tour Guide in The City and an Amazing Basillica
My wife and I came to Santa Croce to take a quick look around and take a few photos. We we told that the church closes early, do we decided to go anyway and take pics of the outside. I asked a gentleman standing out front if the church was opened and he told me that it was. His name was Dan Harper and he offered for my wife and I told tag a long on his free tour that he offers. He was so kind to do so, and we could not pass up the offer. The tour is abiut 2 hours and 30 mins long and I wish it was longer. Dan was an incredible tour guide and is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the church. It is fascinating to learn everything, but Dan bring everything you see to life with all of the details and insight that he give you. Do not skip out on doing this tour with Dan. You will regret it if you do. Thank you do much to Dan for having us in your tour. Next time we are in Florence, we will be doing it again!

The touring experience with Martina was very informative. She was knowledgeable and welcoming during our two hour tour. Martina was also very punctual. She was half an hour early.

Martina informed my friends and I on the history of Florence as well as the Medici family. We truly enjoyed the architecture and the sculptures. But to top it off, the gelato lesson will be lasting. We now know how to identify authentic gelato!

    Thank you, Martina
