Tuscan Winery Tour
US$81.83
Overview
Younger wine tasters might want to consider this full-day wine tour of Italy’s Tuscany region designed especially for 18-to-39-year-olds. Spend the day in beautiful Tuscany visiting two authentic Italian wineries, where you’ll taste world-famous varietals such as Chianti Classico and Brunello of Montalcino while also learning about wine production and the secrets of wine pairing. Since all transportation is included, you won’t need to worry about drinking too much.
What to Expect
Head to the meeting point in Florence, then travel via air-conditioned coach into the Tuscan countryside. The first stop is a winery and tasting school where you’ll learn the essentials to develop your palate. Taste four different wines, including the world-famous Chianti Classico. You’ll also taste a 30-year-old balsamic vinegar, plus truffle oil and extra virgin olive oil.

Next, head to a second winery located in the Vernaccia white-wine region for a vintner-led tour of the entire wine production process from vineyard to cellar. Learn about pairings and sample a rosè, a Vernaccia white, and a Colli Senesi Chianti.

Finally, wander the well-preserved, medieval town of San Gimignano at your own pace. Browse handcrafted shops, climb the Torre Grossa for the best view of the city, sample some of the best gelato in Italy, and mingle with the other young travelers on your tour before the ride back to Florence.

I’m not sure I can answer that but I would call the tour office. We did get off there and have a walk around and then returned to Florence.
