Great tour and wines
Oct 2020
Only 7 people and the tour was by Van. The driver guided us during the drive but no guide joined us at our stop in Castellina.
Professional presentations at the wineries. Especially at Poggio Amorreli with Andrea where we were treated with Spumante, one white and two red Chianti and one supertuscan. We also got bread, cheese, salami with their own balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The driver called for a taxi upon arrival in Florence 👍

Slow start + great finish
The 1st vineyard, Tenuta Riseccoli, was only okay, good to see the processing of the grapes given it was harvest time, enthusiastic guide but the wine tasting at the end could have been more in depth. Although good wines. The stop in Greve didn't add much - just enough time to have a quick look in the shops and grab an ice cream but that's all that seemed on offer anyway. The 2nd vineyard, Poggio Amorelli, was cracking! Really knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, good detail about the vineyard and winemaking process. Then talked through each wine, how to taste wine, tasting notes, recipes and pairings. Seemed to have more time at the 2nd vineyard to relax and enjoy the experience. The final stop in Castellina was much more picturesque and bustling than Greve - it would have been better to spend more time here and drop the Greve stop. All together worth a great experience but would have been better to allocate more time to the 1st vineyard and not stop in Greve.

No recommendation
The tour itself was great. However, you get back pretty late & in a sketchy area. No cabs in sight. My friend was assaulted near the train station. Should have pickup/drop off in better location or provide cabs. Ruined the entire experience.

Must do tour!
Dec 2019 • Couples
I agree with other reviews saying we wish there was more time in the town because it was just so quaint and beautiful, but the wine tour did not feel rushed, there was a lot of great info, and the wine was delicious! Great tour guide and the bus driver was super sweet too, highly recommend!

Great wine tour!
Nov 2019
Our group of 3 really enjoyed our Chianti wine tour! Our guide, Elinor, was wonderful, and even though our group was large, that did not detract from our experience. The wine tastings at the 2 wineries were very good. I recommend this as a good value for a wine tour.

Lovely Wine and Beautiful Vineyards
Nov 2019 • Solo
Have been on several wine tours over the years but I really enjoyed this one. The focus was on both wine and food pairings which I found to be very helpful. Learned some new and interesting things to eat with wine and cheese and excited to try them at our Thanksgiving gathering!

Beautiful scenery and Delicious wines!
Nov 2019
We had a wonderful bus ride through the Tuscan countryside to a very small, family run winery. Nice small manageable group, had tastings along with some cheese. A very short time in Breve in Chianti - could have used more time to have a small meal and/or explore. Then visited another winery with very engaging host. I bought wine/oils to be shipped from both locations!
