A cross-section of Palermo history
Excellent tour from the son and heir! The building is fascinating in it’s own right but the personal element of seeing a palace that still fundamentally feels lived in - through the eyes of the people living there - make this a really worthwhile tour.

We were lucky enough to turn up 15 mins before the daily tour (one Italian group, one English) was due to begin. Try to check details of timings in advance via TA.

One palazzo to rule them all
THE must have experience in Palermo! A fantastic tour in a palazzo guided by the actual heir, a fantastic young chap who answers all the questions and shows you around in his home. We've learned more about history, architecture, and art of the region in an hour, than in everything combined from all other museums and exhibitions. Make sure to book in advance, as they actually live in the palazzo, there are only limited time slots for the tours, they are not open all day.

Great experience
This is a real one of a kind experience in Palermo, and I would highly recommend. The house is packed full of history and you are met and shown round by the brothers who live their, the 16th generation of their family (I think that’s right). The house has history from across the centuries and has been lovingly restored and kept. The knowledge that they had of the house and the history is so vast and there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions around prices that are of interest to you. Well worth a visit!

Unmissable place in Palermo
Beautiful palace with very particular rooms: floors and roofs were very characteristic. Magnificent tower with Norman and Aragonese architectural elements.
Guided tour with a member of the family that explains the whole place.

Nicolo was awesome!
Enjoyed the 1 hour tour around this house, full of history and beautiful spaces. My favourite part was our guide, Nicolo, who had such a lovely energy and so much enthusiasm and passion for the place. He is one of the family who live there and his love for the place comes through. I learnt a lot about Sicily’s history as well. Highly recommend
