Itinerary
- 1Meet with your guide at Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, on the steps in front of the main entrance. You will visit two or three (maybe four if you are really hungry) of the best Osterie in Venice where you will taste the scrumptious food and drink some special wines. You will eat your way through some amazing and delicious cicchetti (Venetian typical snacks) and sample some local Venetian wine and you will be able to discover all about Venice’s everyday life, Venetian people and their culture. Say goodbye to the guide in the last bakari and the guide will tell you what is the easiest way to get back to your hotel or where to continue the evening.

- Xavierdarmanin0 contributionsLovely site, nature and architecture.Miramare is a must when in Trieste. The bus 6 leaves from the main station. You have to ask where to get off, cross the road and take a narrow staircase leading down to the coast. When you get off the bus there are no signs.Written 4 June 2024

- Compass8212120 contributionsTrouble from the minute of check in!Sad to say’s staff lied from the start. Very few cars in parking lot but said they were full. Wouldn’t give us requested adjoining rooms much less even rooms on same floor. Our room had a connecting door but no one was in the connecting room. Hmmmm! She made sure to inconvenience us! Won’t stay here again. If I could give it a zero I would! That’s ridiculous! No wonder Air B & B’s are gaining popularity!!!!!Written 15 December 2023

- GrandTour527190822230 contributionsOpodo cheaper travel or Expensive ScanSigned up to Opodo Prime because it appeared a site that offered to find cheaper alternatives on flights etc. Had to submit bank details etc to access the site. Found nothing that was not offered on travel companies/Airebnb sites, so logged off, as I was busy and could not quickly find the page to delete details from opodo. Then forget to return and charged £69.99 for the privilege of NOTHING. My recommendation to anyone/everyone do not use this site. And I hope the site layout designers rot in hell.Written 1 May 2023
- shellefos0 contributionsTown of PositanoWe planned on getting an early bus from Praiano, but having waited at the bus stop for over 45 minutes with the bus a no show, we hailed a cab and shared the cost with two other bus waiting couples. The downside to this was that we did not know where the bus stopped in Positano - see my final comment at the end of this review. The road to Positano from Praiano is not for the faint hearted as the roads are narrow and winding, you climb quite high and frequently have to stop and negotiate right of way with oncoming traffic. 30€ lighter and we were dropped at the top of the town as the driver did not wish to go any further. The view from the top is amazing, with the Marina on full show. It took us about ten minutes to get down to street level, mainly because of the heat and incline. There is a vast array of souvenir and boutique shops as well as the regulation coffee shops and restaurants. Expect to pay tourist prices - two coffees and a small bottle of water set us back 12€. Positano lives up to its reputation as the jewel in the Crown of the Amalfi Coast. You can't fully appreciate its beauty until you've walked the streets and looked up at the apartments and hotels built high into the cliff. The beach is clean and full of loungers and umbrellas, and the toilet block is well maintained. We are glad we visited Positano during our stay on the Amalfi Coast and ticked a box, but were relieved to return to the quieter Praiano, even though the Sita bus did not run to schedule on either the inbound or outbound journey. I would recommend getting your bearings quickly in Positano, as we must have climbed at least 500 steps through residential areas to the main road, and then faced a 2km trek to the nearest bus stop.Written 20 September 2022
- edriepfeiffer0 contributionsGreat tour for hidden gemsLucia was a wonderful tour guide. She made sure that the pace matched our group. She explained everything clearly. She even found us a place to go for lunch after the tour. Lucia really went above and beyond our expectations to make sure we had a great tour.Written 16 May 2022
