It was really nice to get away from the heat of the city. The glassworks demonstration was very interesting and we had time to look round both the islands which were very pretty. We also had time for lunch and ice cream on Burano.

To go to Murano and Burano but without being restricted on your time to visit... better take the ACTV Vaporetto... it will cost you the same amount but you will have far more flexibility.

There are river buses going to both islands daily throughout the year so you can make your own way there for a lot less than an organised tour
