Excellent tour with our fantastic guide Marco. Marco was very knowledgeable and humorous and gave us a great tour. Must do when in Venice.

My two brothers and I took our mother to Italy for her 85th birthday which included this day trip in Venice. We were so very much looking forward to this tour, especiall our mother! But the evening before the tour she stumbled, fell and subsequently broke her shoulder. I called Tripadvisor and they relayed the message from the local tour outfit, WALKS OF ITALY, and told me that we were not eligible for a refund since she did not break her arm more than 24 hours in advance of the tour. Avoid this tour outfit at all costs! They couldn't care less even if your mother is in hospital in a foreign country!

An excellent experience all around. Our guide, Marie-Therese, gave us an incredible tour full of history, anecdotes, and humor. Our day was well-spent with this tour.

Our tour guide, Romy, was amazing. It seems like she knows literally everything to know about the Palace, the Basilica, and Venetian history and architecture. Communicated clearly; answered questions. I highly recommend doing this "after hours" tour, no crowds at all. We toured the Doge's Palace first, then had a 45 minute break, and then met up to tour the Basilica. Our guide, Romy, gave us a great recommendation to grab a glass of wine during the break. The tour operator was great, easy check-in, we all got headphones but honestly you could hear the tour guide without them because of the intimate setting and lack of other tourists. The Palace and Basilica are must-see of course, but if you're going to do it, this tour was amazing.

Our guide, Sabrina, was perfect. She obviously has a deep knowledge and love for St. Mark's. We learned a lot as she guided us through our tour.

What an amazing way to see Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. And, the basilica glowed when the lights came on….spectacular! No crowds! This was worth every penny. Grazia (Grace) was very engaging and knowledgeable. She made sure everyone enjoyed the tour. Tip: Don’t bring your children . This was the only downside for us….. having to tolerate someone else’s children who had no discipline almost ruined this experience (Luckily they realized it was getting out of hand and left !)

A well-paced walking tour with great commentary along the way. The church and palace were stunning; our guide (Giulia C) was outstanding - very engaging and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Great tour to see so much of Venice in a day. Our tour guide, Alessandro, was very knowledgeable of the history of Venice at every stop. Great tour!

Would definitely recommend staying there for at least a week if you really want to see Venice. DO NOT get caught up in all the main tourist places. Take time to walk around sone of the quieter passageways and canals - you will be amazed at some of the lovely, and cheaper, cafes and restaurants you will find. It will also give you more time to explore the outer islands. Murano is easy to get to, about 30/45 mins depending on where you board the waterbus, but the others can take up to and hour. We are going back as we only had a couple of nights there at the end of our cruise and feel we still missed out on so much.

The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout the day. Although our visit to Venice was quick, it felt as though we saw many of the highlights and gave us good ideas on what to spend more time on our own. The downside was the company’s photo/videographer that was using our tour to shoot a promotion. When I declined to participate, her solution was to stay at the back of the tour away from the guide which made it difficult to see what he was talking about.

I expected a bit more from this tour. It was great to get around the two sites efficiently and get a bit more information without having to g to stop and read a guide book. That said, there wasn’t much time to ask questions and the commentary got a bit repetitive. The Venetian perspective in all things is reinforced over a more nuanced historical viewpoint

It was good but our time was not managed well. We spent a lot of time or trivial details and felt rushed during main events. Our tour did not include seeing the remains of St. Mark in the Basilica. Overall it was good but for the time and money spent those are improvements that I would have liked to see.

Super fun trip but too short! Our guide, Alice, was incredible informative and helpful but the time on each island is woefully short. We really needed at least 30-45 mins more on each island to make the trip worthwhile.

Once we joined the group all was great. HOWEVER having booked on line it was never clear how to access our e-tickets. TripAdvisor sent us a voucher for the tour the day before, but it was not clear how to find the link through that for our joining instructions. Result was we didn't sort it out until nearly 15 minutes after the tour was due to start, so we held up the rest of the tour group
