Our guide was Giovanna - super interesting, informatove and able to answer the most weirs questions :) Obviously the Basilica was mindblowing, and the Dogas' Palace as well. It's so worth getti. the 'skip the line' tickets. So many great information and stories. The gondola trip was so so. Pretty short - not sure id ot's not better to just take the gondola yourself for 15 min...

Allesandro T, our guide in Venice , was amaaaaaaaazing! knowledgeable, passionate about Venice, enthusiastic, engaging, and all around excellent. I highly recommend Alessandro T as a guide.

The place is amazing with countless alleyways and water ways its easy to get lost. The place comes to alive at sundown and gets crowded. The gondola ride is a must at night!

Alessandro was an amazing guide and so knowledgable! We learned how Venetians live and the rich culture of the beautiful city. Alessandro combined his in depth knowledge of Venice and its history with great humor and engagement with the group. He’s a great teacher! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned so much. This tour included two “after hours” special tours. Both were highlights of our vacation to Italy. Our guide Roberta was excellent. She was one of the most knowledgable and passionate (and funny!) guides we have ever had. She took good care of all members of our tour group. Having been to the palace years ago with crowds, having the place all to ourselves with only the guards around was so amazing. Roberta took time in each room to explain the artwork, the history the culture. It was the best! Then when we went into St Marks Basilica the most amazing moment of our trip so far when the private tour group got to see all the golden mosaics slowly light up out of the darkness. The crypt tour was equally as special but the best part of the tour was Roberta. She was an excellent guide - highly recommend this combined experience - avoid the crowds and enjoy these two amazing places with the time they deserve!

Excellent tour & well worth the money. Sabrina is a great guide - giving us a perfect blend of story-telling, facts & figures, delivered with genuine enthusiasm, good pace & excellent English. The tour means you see the Basilica at its best, with space & quiet to be enthralled by the mosaics.

The tour guide was very informative, sharing information that you may not find in a book. I would NOT recommend this tour for children under 10 years od age.

Our guide Giuliano was awesome! We only had 1 day in Venice and he sure made a difference! Great way to explore Venice if you have just 1 day in town, you get to see a little bit of the most important places of Venice. Totally worth it!

SENSATIONAL!!!! Elena our tour guide was INCREDIBLE!!!! WOOW!!! Just wow!!! This is the only way to explore Venice in my opinion! I visited for 3 days and this was PERFECT for the first day!!!

My wife and I came to Venice for our honeymoon, and we wanted to be able to see the city and learn things about it from a knowledgeable local. A tour of the city, St Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, and a romantic gondola ride across the canals. Sounds lovely, right? Wrong. We woke up early to be there by the 8:30 AM start time. The majority of this tour is spent just walking down empty streets and graffiti-ridden alleys. Our guide was kind and polite (and for that reason I will be omitting their name from this negative review) but they weren’t even from Venice and all they talked about was the most basic trivia about Venice that anyone could learn on their own; we learned nothing new. On top of that, halfway through the tour we had to sit around and wait while our guide left us to go search for half of our group that ended up going missing! Eventually we got to the gondola ride, the most anticipated part for my wife and I. Instead of a romantic trip through the canals though, we got stuffed on 2 dinky little stools on the side of the boat while another couple got the “luxury” seats. The ride itself was horrible as well. Our “helmsman” spoke about 2 sentences and was silent for the rest of the ride. We ended up going through mostly the canal equivalent of dingy back alleys, and it smelled awful. At one point we even passed by raw sewage with human feces visible at the surface. And in the end, it just took us in one big circle right back where we were. After that it was lunch time. Unfortunately, the tour breaks for lunch around 11:15 and meets back up at 12:15. Meanwhile the majority of restaurants don’t even open until 12:30! The Basilica and Doge’s Palace were nice, but that’s just the landmarks themselves and has nothing to do with the tour. All in all, I was incredibly disappointed and if I could get my money back, I 100% would. BUYER BEWARE: It’s not as romantic and fun as it seems.

If you’re only in Venice for a few days this is the tour to take. Our guide was absolutely wonderful! Her knowledge of the city and history was impressive, she could answer anything asked. We hit all of the highlights of the city and even an impressive 30 min gondola ride was included! Our guide offered recommendations for restaurants and other must see things to do at the end of the tour.

Roberta C was very informative and very personal. She went out of her way to engage the teenagers in the group. She was concerned about the survival of her town. We learned alot about the residents of Venice. This was our second tour with Walks of Italy and we strongly recommend them.

Giuliano was an amazing tour guide! As a native Venetian, he knew all of the spots of the beaten path! We learned so much about the history of Venice and had time for a coffee stop/bathroom break during the first half of the tour. Then, we had a 30 min or so gondola ride and lunch/shopping break, followed by a guided tour through the oldest church in Venice, adorned with golden mosaics, followed by the fascinating Doges palace! We left with such an appreciation for the culture and history of Venice!!

This has been one experience to remember for life. What a privilegie! I can not explain the emotion at San Marco by night, there are no words. You have to live It.

We had a great time on this tour! We were sure to schedule on a day that the Rialto fish market would be open and it didnt disappoint. Our guide Nico is local to Venice and gave us thorough detail on the history of Venice and was very interactive with all of our questions. The tour was about 2 hours of walking around Venice and seeing the main attractions, and ended with a 30 minute gondola ride!
