Overview
Sometimes, a classic tour is better than an original one. Take a classic guided gondola ride from the Grand Canal under the Rialto Bridge to St. Mark’s Square and see some of Venice’s most popular sights from its most iconic boat. You’ll also pass smaller canals and passageways not visible from the city’s narrows streets. The 30-minute ride is a great introduction to Venice for travelers short on time.
What to Expect
Begin at Campo San Luca, and make your way to the Canal Grande. Hop on a gondola shared with up to five people. Your gondolier takes you on a 30-minute ride across different parts of central Venice, from the Canal Grande to minor canals that pass by St. Mark’s Square and under the Rialto Bridge.

Meander beneath bridges and along quiet, peaceful stretches while taking in waterside views.

Pass alleys, side streets, and passageways not visible from streets or water taxis. Relax while you take part in one of Venice’s original pastimes.

The tour finishes at Bacino Orseolo behind St. Mark’s Square.

Short break

We booked this based on some of the reviews and also didn’t want to waste time shopping around for the best deal. We booked an excursion at 3pm and arrived early where we were told- we stood outside the travel agency for about 10 minutes...More

An absolute must!

You can't go to Venice without a Gondola ride. We had a perfect route through small canals then came out into the grand canal right in front of Rialto bridge. Just stunning. Would def recommend.

Great company!

We chose to do the “tourist” thing and take the gondola ride and were so happy we did. It’s the end of a long trip, and I mistakenly booked our ride for the wrong day. The ladies in the office couldn’t have been kinder and...More

Cool views

It was very interesting to go down the canal and see the houses part way in the water. Going on the gondola you can actually see steps into the water. There are several people that own these places that just place a plank onto the...More

There are lots of different gondola rides available- we decided to book in advance simply so that we could pick the time we wanted but it's probably not essential to do that.

You will save a little bit, but then you have a set set place to be there. The nice thing on pre-booking is you can check the route and know everything before you get there. We booked directly with the gondola driver because... More
