Stop at the auditorium and royal box, admire the baroque architecture, and learn about the theater’s resilient history. About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 789ileneh0 contributionsWorthwhile and great bang for the buck. Recommend.Very organized by great staff. Beautiful islands. Glass blowing demo was great. Guide provided lots of info. Great bang for the buck!Written 13 October 2024
- johnsA8239FD0 contributionsDo not book!Booked Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s through get your guide. The tour operators did not arrive. It cancelled 10 minutes after it was supposed to start. We could not get our entry tickets and missed this experience in Venice. When you travel this far you expect better. Do not book this guide. They will disappoint you.Written 12 October 2024
- 490edd0 contributionsAverage Gondola ride in VeniceThis gondola ride was okay but you only spend 20mins on the water, the 30 minute experience includes queuing. We paid over €150 for 4 people which did seem excessive for the amount of time on the gondola. Worth shopping around for the best deals.Written 11 October 2024
- meloeyk0 contributionsJust okIt was an OK experience. We made the best of it, but they’re definitely could’ve been some improvements. The day was supposed to only be five hours and it ended up being six they had us transfer to multiple different boats through the day – so many I’ve lost track. No suggestions are provided when you get to each of the islands so you end up just wandering around aimlessly.Written 11 October 2024
- C5916GIjayf0 contributionsBoat tourGreat informative tour . It was short but nice . We Liked the 3 island that We visited . Sad that Torcello has only 8 people living there. We has equisite food and prosseco at a restaurant forgot the name Only serves lunch 12-2pm the owner super nice. Also in Murano the best lunch next to the Murano glass factory.Written 8 October 2024
- Tree H0 contributionsBeautiful place to visitGreat trip plenty of information from guide visited all 3 places glass blower very talented I would book a full day tour to have more time in Murano such ann interesting place to visit very busy and livelyWritten 6 October 2024

- D6193PVkevinm0 contributionsbad informationOur group booked this trip well in advance. We showed up at the location printed on our reservation 30 minutes before the paperwork said to arrive. We were issued tickets and walked to the pickup site. The person at the site informed us that the ticket information was incorrect and we had missed the last tour of the day. We could not reschedule as we had other tours planned for the next day. This booking was very disappointing.Written 3 October 2024
- N690PDnicolah0 contributionsFantastic Sightseeing Tour!Fantastic sightseeing tour and great value for money. We were a group of 8 friends and all thought it was a lovely trip and well worth the money. Would highly recommend thank you. Would have liked more time especially in Torcello as really beautiful. But this tour gave us the opportunity to visit all 3 places and not be on an all day trip away from Venice. We can now decide to return to Torcello on our next trip to Venice.Written 2 October 2024
- Sylvia R0 contributionsHalf day sightseeing tourThe first leg of the tour had sound difficulties, we were unable to hear/understand the guide. This was reported and we were told that it will be fed back to the organisers. At Murano we watched the craftsman demonstrate glass blowing, then we were invited to purchase their merchandise. Please note, the original items are extremely expensive (a small vase €200+, the cheapest items were some earrings €40). 2nd Island was Torcello, could do without stopping there. The most beautiful was Burano. Many little gift shops, coffee shops, places to eat etc. Overall, we are glad we had opportunity to visit. Having been given an opportunity to visit Venice again, we will visit Burano again and perhaps spend a little more time there.Written 2 October 2024
- lkoehler50 contributionsTerrible guide! The guide was terrible. You couldn't hear him at all and his demeanor was rude and uncaring. He obviously hates his job. What a waste of money.Written 30 September 2024
- dawnhV8657ED0 contributionsLong boat ride around the islandsThe guide's narrative on the boat was difficult to understand and I'm good with accents. Sound system wasn't optimal. There was more time spent on the boat going from place to place was more time than we had to explore each location. I enjoyed the time at each location, I just wanted more!Written 29 September 2024
- Ben B0 contributionsNice to see all the main things on each island, but the time goes very quickly at murano and buranoVery nice to see a live glass blowing demonstration in murano, Burano was brilliant to see. Torcello didn’t have a lot to see so 50 minutes here was quite long. Could spend longer at murano and burano, others tours are available for this but this one is nice and quickWritten 28 September 2024
- D2847EUjohna0 contributionsLovely Exploration of the Local IslandsThe excursion was really enjoyable. The pick up point option we used near the KFC near the Railway station was really convenient as we were staying in Mestre and this was right by the Tram stop. Murano glass blowing was amazing, watching the glass blowers artistry and skill was mesmerising. Torcello was quiet and there wasn't much to see here except a church and there are a lot of better churches and Basilicas in Venice so this could have been missed out for me. Burano was the star of the trip. The colourful old fisherman's houses in combination with the mini canals are exquisite.Written 27 September 2024
- Y G0 contributionsVenice IslandsNice day trip, pretty much a shuttle service to the islands with some commentary along the routes and then left to explore the islands yourself, was very cool to see the glass making in Murano and the houses on Burano were very pretty,Written 26 September 2024

We got to see the theatre from outside and the inside of the gift shop. it was beautiful but our tour guide never showed up. We tried to contact him and then we contacted support. By the time we were done with support and went inside, they had closed all tours. We were very upset but things happen. I would suggest just buying tickets on your own or contacting your tour guide in advance so you do not waste time on your trip.

La Fenice on the bucket list! Lovely performance of La Boheme in this jewel
box of a theatre. Great seats in the second row of the stalls - well you can't take
it with you! Just a wonderful experience in a remarkable building rebuilt after
the fire.

There is no arguing the Theater is beautiful. I found the tour quite short and possibly could have been replaced with a cheaper audio guide. However, being in personalized tour group did allow us access to less congested areas of the theater, this was worth paying for. As with all places in Venice, all the attractions are usually crowded. Perhaps pick your time of day and that way you can get the cheaper audio guide without the crowds.

Perfect setting and evening. I reviewed the theatre last year without seeing a live performance. This visit I saw the Barber of Seville which was great. Sertes are in Italian and English. Tickets can be difficult to get unless you book well ahead. Live opera in this refurbished theatre brings everything to life. It was rebuilt following the third fire in 1999 to a high standard. There is a well stocked bar but you pay the cashier in the foyer first and take your receipt to the bar staff. The settings are great and we had a box which was great. If you are in Venice and like opera you will not be disappointed. Have fun!

Dear bonniel912,
thank you so much for this great review!
La Fenice Theatre is one of the most beautiful theatres in the world, rich in history other than music. We really recommend to go to the opera next time if you have the chance!
Thank you for choosing Bucintoro Viaggi during your stay in Venice! We hope to see you again,
Best regards

Tour guide is hard to understand. Tour is short. Didn’t gain in depth information. I saw few groups of people listened in to the audio tour instead and seemed to enjoy themselves. Maybe that is a better choice. The worst part is that you have to meet up at the tour company rather than in front of the theater. That is for the benefit of the company rather than for the benefit of the customers. You have to walk few blocks and find it or you will miss it. Not cool.

Had arranged, through Trip Advisor, to take a tour of the historic Opera House in Venice, Teatro La Fenice. Arrived at the site 15 minutes before. When no guide or group arrived by 1 pm, my wife and I entered the theater and asked the Box Office agent "what happened to our tour?" We were advised that the guide should arrive in a moment. Didn't happen. Then we were told to go to the Agency that had sold the tour, which was in a nearby Piazza. We went there and were told that tour had left already. The agent on site was unable to reach the tour guide by phone.
We went back to Teatro La Fenice and purchased their tour. The Opera House was wonderful
Trip Advisor should arrange a refund for us.

Dear npkras,
We apologise for any inconvenience you had to face. However, the meeting point is at the Bucintoro Viaggi travel agency strictly 15 minutes before the departure of the tour where you need to collect the actual ticket of the tour (info written before and after the purchase of the voucher) and NOT at the entrance of the theatre, as you describe.
The tour started on time and was run regularly. We are sorry you missed it.
Best regards,

When we got there, there was no guide available. We were at the appropriate place at the appropriate time.
I have been trying to contact TripAdvisor to resolve this issue and obtain a refund. There apparently is no way to contact TripAdvisor. This is a very bad customer experience.

The main theater is spectacular with its gilded seating. Our group somehow ended up with more people than expected and made it a little difficult. Our guide was Aurora and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the theater.
