    What to Expect
The tour starts at Piazza Castello, and sets off to visit Palazzo Madama, the favorite residence of the Ladies of the Royal Court.

Piazza Castello historical and political hub of the city, for the events which took place there and for the urban expansions that departed from here, with the opening of today's Via Roma, Via Po and Via Pietro Micca. The history of the square begins in the second half of the fourteenth century, when the princes of Savoy-Acaia decide to demolish the blocks adjacent to the castle and the city walls, creating an area of representation used to dynastic events. In the square stands the Royal Theatre built in 1740, the opera house and one of the largest and most important in Italy and one of the most important in the European and international scene; will see the first of Bohème in 1896. We will visit the Chapel of San Lorenzo dates back to the seventeenth century., also known as Real Church of San Lorenzo, as desired by the Savoy also the result of the genius of baroque masterpiece by Guarino Guarini.

The Next stop is the Palazzo Reale (Royal Court) where the Savoy kings held court. Spy the spire of the Cathedral, before getting up-close to its stern medieval façade. Debate still rages as to whether the piece of linen inside is the cloth that wrapped the body of Christ or not.

Walk through Piazza San Carlo, one of the city’s most elegant squares that was once dubbed “Europe’s sitting room.” Admire the fine baroque architecture of Piazza Carignano, including the palazzo where King Vittorio Emanuele II was born.

Next, explore the Quadrilatero Romano, where the Roman grid-like system of the city’s original plan is most evident.

Finally Piazza Vittorio, one of the largest squares in Europe with a beautiful river frontage, the hill and the premises of the city nightlife. Not far away is the Mole Antonelliana, undisputed symbol of the city and now home of the National Cinema Museum.
