Having read the reviews, we had to try this. First plan appropriately for the distance of this location from where you are staying it was quite a walk for us, – but beautiful! Despite the very hot July day, the location was breathtaking and comfortable with umbrellas and misters along the view of the sea. The pesto making component is not understated. The directions and experience were perfect. I had truly learned how to make the perfect pesto every time! We learned the origin of the ingredients and the necessity of the exact steps to making it. The owner was very easy to understand and tells a compelling story that is fun and uplifting. You are seated next to other couples and this made for an easy way to make new friends in conversation as we make the pesto. The entire experience iscompleted by dancing and a food board with prosciutto melon, mozzarella, tomato, and focaccia. Oh yes, lots of white wine! I highly recommend this.

She who held the course was very knowledgeable and told us about pesto history then we cooked our own pesto which was incredibly good. Best pesto we ever had. Note. The course was held at the top of the village inside a small house with a room, the room itself was super nice but expected a view of the city, it did not exist. But where worth anyway for was good pesto, good focaccia and good wine.

Ivonne is a gracious and authentic host. Our group of four truly enjoyed learning the history of pesto, and pesto making, in the Cinque Terre region. This was an experience for all the senses and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Wow! What a great experience to learn about something unique to Italy, and to learn how to create it and have it with you forever! We are with our 23 year old daughter and it was a unique experience complimented with bread, cheese, wine and olive oils, from the area. Sophia, our ‘teacher’ was knowledgeable and a phenomenal teacher who taught us many unique facts about the area and foods we were eating. Definitely well worth the money and time. AND… you create with a meal using the pesto you made, and fresh gnocchi. Finishing with limoncino and white chocolate.

Absolutely unforgettable. Yvonne is a master in the art of pesto making and the ability to enchant her students. We were really happy today. How lucky. A zero tourist class with refinement and simplicity. Next. Maravilhosa.

So glad we did this! All fresh, high quality local ingredients provided with the post card picture view overlooking Manarolla. Food and wine provided were excelent. Amazingly affordable for the time and food provided. Owner was delightful and somehow spent time with all of us eventhough there were 75 or so folks there. Can't recommend highly enough! Grazie!!

This was one of my favourite experiences to date. Ivonne is very passionate and knowledgeable about what she does you have no choice to become immersed into the world of pesto! It was also good to try our end product on the fresh focaccia washed down with a nice glass of local wine. We were that impressed we went back to eat at the restaurant that evening. Do not hesitate to book this experience, You certainly will not be disappointed!

Great fun course! Got an interesting and instructive description of the origin and history of pesto. Very good leader Yvonne, calm and educational! Fun to cook together with others and the icing on the cake was tasting your own pesto together with freshly baked foccacia and local wine!

This experience is one not to be missed. Every bit of it was was just FANTASTIC ! it is a must.. We had so much fun and got to learn how to make PESTO. The host and the staff could not do enough for us and the only disappointing bit was it finished..
