Ancient and history-rich, the Colosseum is one of Rome’s best-loved and busiest attractions. Waste no time with this skip-the-line tour, entering straight into the arena via the Gladiator Gate. Visit parts of the complex normally off limits to standard tours, such as the site of the emperors’ box, and hear the history of the gladiators, too. Continue to the Roman Forum at no extra cost, or opt to stay longer inside the stadium.
What to Expect
Choose a start time to suit your schedule and then meet your guide near the Colosseo metro stop. Together, pass the long lines outside the ancient stadium and enter via the special Gladiator Gate.

Step straight out into the arena, just as the gladiators did millennia ago, and gaze up at the ancient tiers where thousands of Romans gathered to watch the gory games. As you listen to stories of the battles, walk from the arena floor to the spot where the emperors’ box once stood and then up to the second level to see the stadium from a spectator’s view.

Opt to stay behind and explore the Colosseum more at your own pace or follow your guide to the nearby Roman Forum. Skip-the-line entry to the forum is included; plus, get the lowdown on its key ruins and a stroll up Palatine Hill.

Amazing Colloseum tour.

We booked a Colloseum tour through City Wonders, and we were definitely not disappointed. Our tour guide was a lovely lady called Amil, she was very funny, friendly and great to talk to. Throughout the day we asked lots of questions which Amil answered with...More

Excellent tour, excellent tour guide

This was a great, quick tour that gave a lot of great information in a limited amount of time. Great guided tour that ended in an unguided admission to "Old Rome." Will recommend to family and friends.

Excellent tour and very knowledgeable guide!

First, I gave this a 5 even though the wait was a bit long and there were some timing hiccups, but when looking at the number of people waiting to get in and the challenges working with security, I can look past that. Our guide...More

Hi, You get to go on the floor. You can view the underground, but in the massive amount of people I saw no people down there. I hope this might help. Nevertheless, the tour we had was very good.

The tour ticket price includes entry to the Colosseum and the gladiators entrance. Our tour had the option to stay in the Colosseum if you did not want to go to the Roman Forum.
