Limoncello Tasting and Scenic Cruise: Amalfi Coast Day Trip from Rome
US$229.76
Overview

Get to know the Amalfi coast on this full-day, small-group tour of the region by train, bus, and boat. Designed for travelers who might be short on time, but don’t want to miss any of the beauty and culture of the Amalfi coast. Avoid the often-confusing logistics of getting to Amalfi from Rome, and let your guide handle the details including all transportation costs.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at the Roma Termini railway station at 7am for a 7:15 departure. Settle in for a high-speed rail journey along the Italian countryside to Naples where you transfer to your private bus for the journey to the Amalfi coast.

Your first stop is Positano, a stunning seaside town with picturesque cliffs. Get the lay of the land with a guided tour and then have two hours to explore on your own. Browse the upscale shops, sip an espresso, or take a dip before meeting your group for the 30-minute journey to Amalfi.

Keep your camera handy for lovely hilltop and ocean views, and then arrive at a lemon orchard where you taste locally made limoncello. Next, you have an hour to explore Amalfi on your own before meeting the group for a 40-minute cruise to Salerno, where you will board the high-speed train back to Rome.

Amalfi Coast Day Trip

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide Alessandra was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about the history of the region and kept things moving at the same time. The free time in Positano was just right. Plenty of time to shop and grab lunch beach-side! The...More

The Best Way to Visit the Amalfi Coast

We did three tours with Walks of Italy and each was great, but this was our favorite. Prior to the tour we had some concern that it would feel like we spent the entire day in a train/bus. In reality, each aspect of the travel...More

Your time at the beach will be in Positano. You will be able to do the beach OR shop, but not both. I don’t know if there is a place to change. The beach is pebbly-not smooth sand. We walked out to the water after lunch, but... More

If you can't get Saturday, it must be that it is sold out for that day. The tour is available on Saturdays. We found this tour to be amazing. It was varied, in that we traveled on speed train, van, then by boat. We saw... More

Not sure if other reviewers were with the same tour company as ours - Walks of Italy, but ours was a smaller boat. There were about 50 people on our boat trip and there was room for about 20 - 25 more people. Single deck... More
