Full Day Tour: Vatican Museums, St. Peter's and the Most Important Basilicas of Rome
From US$116.85
Overview
Make the most of a day in Rome by visiting the Vatican Museums and four of the city’s most important basilicas, including St. Peter’s. This tour is ideal for travelers short on time or who want to see Rome’s religious sites in addition to those in the Vatican. Plus, save time with skip-the-line access to the Vatican Museums. Choose a morning or afternoon tour time to suit your vacation plans.
What to Expect
Meet your guide across the street from the entrance to the Vatican Museums, at the corner of Viale Vaticano and Via Tunisi. Use your skip-the-line ticket to walk past the lines and step into the main entry.

Follow your guide through the galleries, and stop at Raphael’s Rooms, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Afterward, take advantage of a 2.5-hour break for lunch (own expense) and some independent sightseeing if you wish.

Meet back with your guide and travel to central Rome by coach, heading to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Upon arrival, look for the famous fifth-century mosaics. Next, visit nearby Santa Scala, the marbles stairs Christ is thought to have climbed. Continue to the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, and admire the frescoes and visit Bernini’s tomb.

Bid your guide arrivederci, and finish the tour near Termini station.
