Overview

Taste the traditional flavors of Naples with this food-themed walking tour. Leave the navigating to your guide as you stroll through this vibrant city, meeting street vendors and wandering through food markets. The itinerary includes a taste of espresso, Neapolitan pastry, and street food. Limited to 14 people, this tour has an intimate atmosphere.

What to Expect

Meet your guide outside Castle Nuovo, a fort and former residence of the Neapolitan monarchy.

After getting oriented for the tour, start strolling the streets and hearing stories about the history of Naples and its traditional foods.

The itinerary includes seeing historical sites, such as Teatro di San Carlo (Europe's longest running opera house) and many churches. The first stop is a casual café for a shot of espresso.

The tour continues in Piazza del Plebiscito, a square that is home to the Naples Royal Palace. Stop inside Galleria Umberto I to taste sfogliatella, a layered pastry, before moving on to the food market.

Meet local purveyors and snack on traditional Neapolitan street food, such as pizzette (small pizza).

The tour includes a walk down Spaccanapoli, a narrow street in the heart of the Old Town of Naples, towards Piazza Dante. Before your guide departs, they share tips on where to find classic Neapolitan pizza.
