Greet your guide at 10am at Plaza Santa Ana, beside the statue of Calderón de la Barca. Once all of your small group has assembled, you’ll begin the tour with an indulgent breakfast of churros and chocolate at a local chocolateria.

Then, weave your way down tree-lined cobblestone streets to a traditional Spanish market, where you’ll sample Iberian cured ham and olives straight from the stalls.

Continue into the Literary Quarter to a delicatessen whose history is as rich as its cheese and wine. Sample the aforementioned and then head to a fashionable tapas bar for open sandwiches and refreshing draft beer.

The itinerary can vary according to season, however at least four beverages and 15 food samples are guaranteed. Your tour concludes at your final food location at around 2pm.

The tour was very tasty, informative and fun. Our guide Aranxta was the best! She was also very helpful with recommendations for the remainder of our trip - great spots to eat, funky neighborhoods to browse in, etc. Warning: come to this tour hungry!
