Montserrat Tour from Barcelona Including Lunch and Wine Tasting in Oller del Mas
From US$108.90

Add a culinary element to your tour of Montserrat on this day trip from Barcelona. Unlike other tours, this experience includes a Catalan lunch and a wine-and-cheese tasting session at Oller del Mas, a 10th-century castle set in a 1,000-acre (404-hectare) estate. Enjoy a combination of tours and free time at the monastery and basilica of Montserrat before exploring the cellars of the vineyard. Plus, receive personalized attention in a small-group setting.

What to Expect

Board an air-conditioned coach at a central Barcelona location, and begin the journey to Montserrat. During the ride, your guide provides an overview of the area’s religious significance.

On arrival, take a guided tour of the basilica and monastery before enjoying free time to explore independently. Opt to visit the museum, or explore the Holy Cave before you reconvene with your guide. At the end of the visit, get the chance to attend a performance by l’Escolania de Montserrat, one of the oldest boys’ choirs in Europe.

The next stop is the Oller del Mas estate winery, housed in a castle that dates back to the 10th century. Following a multi-course lunch inspired by Catalan classics, tour the cellars and vineyards before tasting local wine and cheese during a tasting session.

* Please note that l'Escolania does not sing on Saturdays, school holidays, and several dates throughout the year.

Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

Montserrat and Wine Tasting was great.

Montserrat was really beautiful and interesting. I highly recommend it. We took the Funicular up to the top and it is worth the time and cost. Be sure to go early to hear the boy's chior.

A Grand Day Out

We don't normally go on tours like this so didn't know quite what to expect. A lot of hanging around to start with, it would seem, which was not ideal given the icy wind swirling around Plaça de Catalunya, but once on the warm bus...More

I don’t work for the company, but I can tell you there was a baby on our tour. They stowed the stroller for her, and she held the baby on the bus.

You can make it, but you will limit your tour to this one portion of the tour. Too many other things to see
