      A highlight of our trip
Had an amazing tour and cooking class with Chef Leo and Sabrina. The salmorejo and Chickpeas with spinach dishes were both great, and the paella was perfection. Chef Leo was a fantastic and hilarious teacher and presenter. The whole of Mercado de Triana was great to visit, but the cooking class was truly the star of the experience. Looking forward to trying these recipes at home.

Spanish Cooking Class and Market Tour
Highly recommend this experience! Leo was such a fun guide throughout our cooking experience. He was so patient as he led us through cooking techniques to make salmorejo (cold tomato soup), espinaca con garbanzo (creamed spinach and chickpea stew), paella and a dessert of lemon cava sorbet with fresh mint.😋 We thoroughly enjoyed the market tour also and left with spice purchases in hand. Clara also taught us about sangria and how it is made. All in all a fabulous day!

Nice way to spend a morning
I loved the experience and we ate well. The only thing is I struggles to find the location of the class. It would be helpful to have instructions. But a lovely experience and very knowledgeable guide and great chef.

Enjoyable experience but have had better food
This was an enjoyable experience. Kai’s tour of the market was nice and informative. The reason I’m marking down is simply because we weren’t a fan of the food. I’ve had many paella all over Spain and never had one quite like this. I didn’t enjoy it at all really. Nor did we enjoy the soup we made, to the point we couldn’t eat it at all. So overall the tour of the market and the cooking part was fun but the food wasn’t good for me. I’ve had a lot better previously.

      Fun cooking class
Wow this was such a fun and delicious class. David is a very accomplished chef and taught us all sorts of tips on how to prepare tapas and paella. There were 12 people in our class. We had a lovely four course meal including dessert and everything was so yummy. Highy recommend.

The best way to have lunch in Sevilla
An informative market tour with Kai told us about the local produce and how jamon is categorized. Leo created a fun cooking class, explaining the why as well as the how in addition to creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We learned some new recipes and had a tasty lunch. Highly recommended.

      Excellent shared family experience!
Excellent experience and well worth the cost and time! As someone who used to resist such experiences for fear they were too “touristy” and not “local” enough, I have learned that companies like Taller de Andaluz de Cocina provide insight into the local culture and access to special experiences that might otherwise be hard for a traveler to find. We started with a tour of Mercado de Triana with Daniela, a friendly and vibrant young woman. We learned about saffron, jamon, cheese, olives – with each stop through the market, Dani taught us about the geography, history and culture related to the foods sold there. She was very knowledgeable. After the tour, we knew which market stalls we wanted to return to for shopping! The cooking class was well organized with 12 of us (a variety of ages) learning how to make soup, tapas, paella and a dessert. Our chef was great at explaining each step and getting all of us involved. We enjoyed each course we made, along with sangria (non-alcoholic beverages were also available). I would definitely recommend this experience for adults and families with teenagers or older children.

      A FABULOUS EVENING IN SEVILLE!
We loved our course with David (chef at the helm) and Kai (his very able-assistant, making delicious sangria and keeping the place ship-shape) David is extremely knowledgeable and funny, keeping us all entertained. I'm quite a practiced cook and found I learnt alot from our evening cookery course at Taller Andaluz de Cocina. We made salmorejo (tomato/bread soup), chickpea and spinach starter and chicken paella. All delicious and filling and a really lovely way to spend an evening in Seville. Thank you David, Kai and Taller Andaluz de Cocina!

Should be on your must do list for Seville!
David was our instructor/chef and he was great- explained everything, encouraged participation, gave us all his complete attention. We all participated, worked and learned and then enjoyed a feast! This was one of our favorite experiences in Spain! Great experience, great value!

      A Must Do In Sevilla!!!
This is a must do while you are in Sevilla!!! My family had such a great time and would do this again. We signed up for the 10:30 AM class as they were fully booked at the later time. It worked out perfect. Sabrina gave us a great tour of the market and then we learned how to cook three amazing Spanish dishes including the traditional Paella!! We were also served great Sangria. Chef Domenico was the best. Along with his knowledge of cooking, he had a great sense of humor and was so fun to be around. Sabrina and Chef Domenico made the experience wonderful!!

      Our teens enjoyed it!
It was an awesome experience. It’s probably chef dependent, but our chef (Socrates?) was very nice (as was his helper) and made the class a lot of fun. The class is in the Triana Market (aisle furthest on the right when you enter off of the bridge) so head there a little early to visit the market (closes at 6) before class if you aren’t booking the market tour with the class. There is a restroom (but not so clean) next to it. Everyone got to prep the ingredients at their seat and took turns cooking at the stove. We made a cold soup and a chicken paella ( a good thing as the headed shrimps in Andalucia tasted disappointingly too seafoody and we’re Asians who are used to eatin the heads). The chef showed us how to make a lime sorbet and sangria as well. My teens got soda. The chef taught us how to debone a chicken too. My kids loved this experience the most during our vacation so we highly recommend the class. They liked the paella as well. We did get a copy of the recipe emailed to us a day later. Thank you!

Chef Leo is a true culinary artist, and taking a cooking class with him is an experience like no other. We had so much fun and learned so much. This was our favorite cooking class yet, as it was both educational and entertaining. The food we cooked was amazing and tasted as good as it looked. We highly recommend Chef Leo's cooking class to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable culinary experience.

Really enjoyable. Very well presented at just the right level of detail. The class is clearly practiced and you feel in very capable and competent hands. Given you end up with a high quality meal as well as 2 hours fun learning it's very good value. Can't wait now to practice what we learnt.

Our instructor was obviously skilled and well educated in the culinary arts. We were hands on with every step and all questions were welcomed and answers discussed. The finished product (specifically the Paella) was our best meal by far since we arrived in Sevilla four days earlier. We also made easy friends with the family next to us on the prep line. The location of the class also introduced us to the fresh market which was closed during the instruction and we wish we had visited the area earlier in our trip. I definitely recommend this experience to anyone, whether you are skilled in cooking or not.

We are four Americans, close friends, and the wives among us have cooked and taken cooking classes together for many years. We all were deeply impressed by our session with Taller Andaluz de Cocina! Our chef, Dominic, had excellent English, and excellent teaching skills. We all received useful knife instructions. Discussion of ingredient qualities was useful, and even though two of us have Paella experience through a friend from Valencia, Dominic took us much further, particularly concerning sequence and temperature control tips, especially with seasonings. We also made a fabulous salmorejo soup and spinach-and-beans side dish. Ample provision of sangria, wine and non-alcoholic beverages also didn't hurt! Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience as we learned to make authentic gazpacho, tapa and paella. It was so engaging for my kids (ages 17 and 19), my husband and myself (I am a trained professional cook with 20 years of experience). Truly one of the high points of our visit to Seville! The food was absolutely delicious, heightened with sangria and the opportunity to meet some other travelers. Highly recommend this experience!!

Fabulous experience not to mention the amazing food and tour of the market. We did the private tour with Leo and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great experience, fun time and delicious food. Can’t wait to get the recipes and try them on my friends and family in the US.
If you like food and fun this should be on your must do list.!

We were very happy with our experience. It was just enough cooking, just enough fun and everyone had a great time and even learned a thing or two. The chef was very accommodating as we had two vegetarians, two celiacs, and one super picky kid and everyone was not only accommodated but in a gracious way. I highly recommend this experience in Seville. Especially for Americans not used to eating late, it’s a great way to get in an early dinner and have an evening experience at the same time. Thank you!!!

As a family, we’ve always enjoyed paella. In fact, it’s one of my sons most favourite dishes, along with risotto. So, imagine my surprise that everything I thought I knew about paella turns out to be wrong. Paella should only contain rabbit or chicken and must not contain onions, peas or chorizo. Especially not chorizo, apparently.

We turned up to be met by Dom, who was exceptionally friendly and made us feel entirely comfortable straight away. Over the course of the next 2 1/2 hours he taught us how to make sangria and gazpacho and, of course, paella. My son is almost 13 and loved every second of it. He particularly enjoyed being taught how to bone the chicken… I now need to worry about what he might do with his newly found knife skills…

I’m glad to say that the paella was genuinely the best I’ve ever had. We’ve learnt a huge amount and had great fun doing so. We were contacted the next day and sent the recipe and cooking instructions, and hope to be able to replicate it at home… We’ll see!

All in all, we can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Absolutely brilliant.

My husband & I loved this hands on cooking experience while visiting Sevilla! We & five other couples were paired with Pedro, our chef for the evening. He was delightful! His humor, cooking knowledge & kind demeanor made it an enjoyable evening. His sous chef (her name I can’t recall) was also very pleasant & made a delicious pitcher of sangria. Serving sizes of the meal we prepared were plentiful!

If you are considering a cooking experience while in Sevilla, this one is worth your time!

My husband and I had a lot of fun doing the Paella Experience at Taller Andaluz. Laura was our chef-teacher and she was excellent, and made it a fun and engaging experience. Her English was also perfect. The food we made was delicious (way better than restaurant paella). This is a great interactive experience and very kid friendly. They also send you the recipes afterwards.
