And obviously the queen of flowers: the rose, formerly used as an aphrodisiac and a symbol of carnal passion in many cultures, that is also present in all the “Carmenes”.

Words cannot express the beauty the Alhambra holds within its grounds, but the presence it has over the city. We were lucky that there was only 5 in our group so we got to have good quality time with our guide Esther. Esther was fabulous and brought us through Alhambra at a lovely pace. We were provided with a radio and headphones which made it easy to hear our guide as we explored the site. We were able to wander within a small vicinity of the group to take pictures and look at various features of the palaces and grounds. We found it to be the perfect pace to not feel rushed, but still see all of the key sections of the complex.
