Overview
Put your time in Granada to the maximum sightseeing use with this combined skip-the-line Alhambra and old Albaicin walking tour. Avoid long waits in lines at the Alhambra and explore the UNESCO-listed palace in a small group for an enriching, crystal-clear guided experience. Then, in the afternoon, stroll around Albaicin, Granada's oldest neighborhood, to admire its plazas, streets, and historical Moorish landmarks, including former royal palaces and a bathhouse.
What to Expect
Greet your guide in central Granada and head to the UNESCO-listed Alhambra palace-fortress on Sabika Hill. Bypass the main lines with your prebooked ticket and go inside to take in this 14th-century royal complex, once home to the Moorish Nasrid sultans.

Don the provided headsets to hear your guide clearly and explore the ornate apartments and gateways. Hear stories about Spain’s Muslim rulers and the sultans Yusuf I and Muhammed V, who left their distinct hallmarks on the site. Admire the Patio of the Lions and other courtyards, and learn how the Alhambra has inspired countless artists.

After a lunch break (own expense), take an afternoon tour of Granada’s formerly Moorish Albaicin quarter: its oldest enclave. See 14th- and 15th-century palaces of the Nasrid royals, admire the Plaza Nueva and Banuelo bathhouse, and absorb the Alhambra views from San Nicolas.

Your tour then finishes in the city.

Unreliable

When I started planning a trip to Spain two months ago, on line tickets to the Alhambra were already sold out at its official website. So I booked this English tour for four people through TripAdvisor. Only to be told a month later that the...More

The main reason you go to Granada

You go to Granada to visit the Alhambra and the Generalife. It's well-restored but the visit is made even better with a knowledgeable guide like Igone. She was able to answer questions that weren't part of the standard script. Really worthwhile.

Yes but there are areas where access is restricted. The palaces and the grounds are absolutely amazing!
