Meet your guide in the late morning front of the Starbucks at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate. You’ll travel to Potsdam from the city center via Berlin’s public transport system. Please note that public transit tickets are at guests’ own expense.
Learn about the history of this famous royal city from your guide. Originally formed as a “garrison city” during the era of Germany’s Prussian Empire, Potsdam long played host to German Kings and later the Kaiser. As you tour the city’s incredible collection of historic architecture, including stops at the The Dutch Quarter, Neuer Garten and the Bridge of Spies, you’ll also hear about Potsdam’s key role in negotiating the agreements that helped end World War II at the The Potsdam Conference.
Your trip will end at Potsdam’s “Schloss Sanssouci” (Sanssouci Palace), where your guide will share details to ensure you get the best-priced tickets and skip the long lines (entrance at own expense). You’ll return to your starting point in Berlin by public transit at the end of the trip.
