Overview

Germany’s vibrant capital Berlin is famous for its many cultural and historical attractions. Enjoy a hassle-free sightseeing experience by getting behind the wheel and going on a self-drive tour. You’ll beat the crowds on public transport and have fun as you travel. Also—learn why Trabi is one of Germany’s best-loved car brands by having a hands-on experience in one.

What to Expect

Your live-guided self-drive Trabi safari begins by meeting your guide at a set location that’s easy to access by public transport and close to local sights. First task of the day is getting acquainted with your car and its functions (all Trabi cars have a manual gearbox). You’ll arrange in a convoy of colorful Trabi cars and start your tour.

Your guide will take you on a journey that covers many of Berlin’s top attractions—such as Brandenburg Gate, Postdamer Platz and Unten den Linden. You can admire the architecture as you drive past Berlin Cathedral and Rotes Rathaus, see the hip Berlin TV Tower, East Side Gallery, and Checkpoint Charlie. As you drive you’ll hear commentary from your guide and the day ends with a special souvenir gift of a Trabant driver’s license.

we were split into 2 groups of 5 cars each which was manageable. You need to see that everyone gets through the traffic lights together or wait for the backmarkers to catch up. Trebis are a hoot. Basic engineering. Noisy, smelly, but you bring a...More

Definitely do this.

We were recommended by family to do this after seeing it on a TV show - I cannot recommend it highly enough. Online booking is easy, fast and safe, and the company email you the day before as a reminder. The place itself is easy...More
