We booked this tour with Venez Discover France and had an absolutely amazing time. Thierry was our guide and first took us through the Eiffel Tower showing us all around Paris from the top, as well as pointing out things we didn't know in its history. He then took us to our Seine River Dinner Cruise- also amazing. Relaxing tour on the river with great food and wine. It was a great way to end such a nice evening. We are so glad we booked! Our Thanks to the entire team at Venez!

It was difficult to locate our meeting place for the tour guide. Please make this more clear with specific address and location as you have done so on others. Our guide however was amazing - very very informative and helpful. He continued to guide us to some immediate sights/features along with a wall to the nearby Norte Dame cathedral. He was superber.

I book a private tour with pickup at hotel over a week in advance. Don’t do it, there is no way to call. The day of booking, I looked up the reservation and called to confirm with the booking agency. The booking agency has an automated phone number and you can only email. Past our booking time, an email replies that states pickup reservations would be 24 hours in advance, regardless of us actually booking a hotel pickup. So o attempt to call again, to tell them I had booked a pickup but would endeavor to hire a driver to take us there. Unfortunately leaving at 10:00 meant a 1 hour taxi ride, with construction meant 1,5 hours. QED; get tickets directly and do not use Travelocity, who will use a 3rd party, who will use yet another party. $700 for a private tour….

Scam company. This is the absolute worst experience we have had. Guide met us at the agreed upon location at the right time. That was all that was acceptable. Guide’s english was poor and had very little knowledge. Admitted it was one of his first tours. First took us in gardens. We couldnt get in at first as the tickets werent valid. Then he made some calls and 20 minutes later we got in but it seemed like the ticket agents were aware of this ticket scam mixup they try to pull. We walked through the gardens but were not taken to Marie Antoinette house. Then our supposed skip the line access was a farse. Huge line to get into the palace and we had the same issue with the tickets….had to stand there after being denied entry until they played their ticket game again to get us in. We then learned that the palace tour was on our own and the guide was not going to come in with us because he was not their in time to get a guide pass. After our self guided walk we saw the guide again who said we couldnt get back in to the gardens to see the Marie A house. They tried and then said the train that takes you to it wasnt running. We just had enough and parted ways at that point. Avoid at all costs.

Do not book! We booked to be picked up at our hotel and we were not picked up and requested refund. Also, this is way overpriced- tickets are less than 30 euro. Go on your own to visit Sainte Chapelle and it will be affordable and enjoyable.

Me and my partner loved this private experience. The guide we had was nice and professional. We loved the gorgeous interior of the opera and got to know so many facts and stories!

We loved the ambiance on the cruise and the whole experience with that tour operator. Our guide was very nice and was able to navigate very easily through the enormous queue. Paris is definitely being booked up and not the best time to visit in the summer… however, we enjoyed our private tour of Eiffel Tower and the views from there. And had a splendid evening on the cruise afterwards.

We book this private tour FIVE months in advance. The DAY BEFORE our 9:00 am tour, the company emailed to say they couldn't do the tour on the day we booked it for. They wanted to move it a day. We had no flexibility to move the day. The company representative, Jonas, then said they could do the day we scheduled but had to start an hour later, AND they couldn't give us a tour of the palace. It was way too late for us to reschedule with someone else, so we agreed and asked for a discount. Jonas responded, "We are providing everything that is listed above, the horse show ticket is an add-on, again, and the 15% deduction is a goodwill gesture, which, if we get technical, we do not need to do, but we won't and will provide it." TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. He felt it was a goodwill gesture to give 15% off a $750 tour that no longer included a tour of the Palace of Versailles!!! The ONLY good thing that came out of this was a private tour of the gardens with Melvin. He was a good and knowledgeable tour guide. However, he didn't realize he wasn't spending the day with us until we got to the palace, and he couldn't get it. He said he'd meet us after we went through the palace alone. After we went through the palace on our own with no information, Melvin told us we would be met by another guide. The lack of communication and planning by this company was ridiculous. It was the worst experience and a very expensive mistake. DO NOT USE

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!! I booked this tour 8 weeks ahead of date. The night before I received an email saying the tour guide could not do the tour just use the voucher for tickets and they would give me a partial refund. I tried using the voucher at the Opera House and talked with three staff members. The voucher was not valid and they said this tour operator does this frequently. So we paid for the tour and tickets, received a partial refund but got no value plus a lot of last minute chaos!!!

Terrible experience. we paid $851 for a private guide to take us through the Château of Versailles. 1) our guide was 40 minutes late. We were asked to be there 20 minutes early and he arrive 20 minutes late. 2) he dumped us in front of the Château, and said he would meet us there after we were finished seeing it. Other larger groups had their guide with them, and we had to go through by ourselves. 3) when he returned he was another 25 minutes late. 4) there was an issue, and he could not get us into the Gardens. Or the Marie-Antoinette exhibit. 5) after paying $851 this was not acceptable. Not to mention that his English was very poor and we could hardly understand him and the fact that he was not knowledgeable. 6) we literally wasted the whole day because we did not get to see the beautiful gardens or the rest of the Marie-Antoinette exhibit. He wasted our entire day. Thank you for the refund, but it was still a waste of a very important day for us. Some thing I really wanted to see.

Our tour guide cancelled at the last minute. Vietor offered to send me tickets so we could still go, but never did. We did not get in to Versailles. I am still waiting for a refund. Awful experience.

We paid E$1500 Australian for what we understood would be a VIP behind the scenes guided tour skip the line of the palace of Versailles and Marie Antoinette village. The company had not provided the correct paperwork to the guide to provide her with entry to the palace to provide a guided tour. We had been provided with the cheapest of tickets which provided us with limited access in that we had to enter the Palace at 9:30am otherwise we would have no access. When we arrived we were told by the guide that our transfer from Paris arranged by the tour company ( which had cost 300 euro ) had been booked too late (8:30am ) and we had missed our tour at 9:30am and could not gain entry to the palace. The driver was extremely stressed during the drive and had advised us that the 30 minute allowed to reach Versaille from Paris was insufficient and we would instead take an hour - we took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. The itinerary stated we would arrive and meet the guide at 9am We were told by the guide that even if we had arrived on time she had been sent the wrong documentation by the company and she would not be able to give us a guided tour of the palace - that our entry was limited to a specific 9:30 slot ( we arrived at 9:45/50) and she would have just taken us to the palace door and would not have been able to guide us given the inadequacy of the program she had been sent by the company We attempted to call the company as soon as we were provided that advice by the guide and left urgent messages with their answering service and eventually emailed we had lost faith and felt compelled to cancel the tour and asked for a refund. No return call was made until some 6 hours later. The company refused to refund us for the transfer cost. They said that we had had the use of the transfer one way despite missing the palace tour. They also argued that we could have taken advantage of the other aspect of the tour and walked the garden and the Marie Antoniette village. They determined that a refund of one third of the cost of the tour was sufficient compensation to us. We had to buy our own guided tour of the palace on the spot via our hotel concierge and pay for an Uber back to Paris. When we were finally contacted by the company they were combative and argumentative about the facts and we felt our integrity was being questioned. It was the worst customer experience I have had in all my years of travelling. I have no confidence that any response to this review will show any empathy or understanding for the impact of the combative and belittling response of the company to our distress. Particularly the questioning of our experience and integrity

Our private tour of Versailles was absolutely amazing! We had a group of eight, four adults and four children. Our guide, Anna, could not have been any better. She was very engaging and tailored the tour to our group. We would also recommend the afternoon time slot as Versailles was not crowded at all.

Just half an hour prior to the start of the tour( by that time we had already reached Versailles) the operator cancelled the tour. And left us in the lurch. Finally without tickets we had to go back . And when the option for changing the date of the tour for some future date came it was two days later. By that time we were to come back. Finally had to apply for the refund. Now waiting for it.
