Overview
The Palace of Versailles outside Paris ranks among the most popular attractions in France, and the entrance line can be long. On this independent visit, choose your start time and beat the queues to head straight inside with your skip-the-line ticket. Explore the suites and Hall of Mirrors at your leisure, and learn about palace life in the 18th century from your audio guide. Your ticket also includes garden access, on certain days.
What to Expect
Make your way to central Versailles—just a 30-minute train ride from Paris—and meet your host near the world famous Palace of Versailles. Choose the entrance time to suit your schedule, then beat the entry queue with your skip-the-line ticket.

Collect your audio guide, and listen as your host shares tips on the best route to take. Then, step inside the palace to begin your independent tour. As you explore, enjoy the freedom to visit the rooms at your own pace and gain insight into 18th-century royal court life in France.

Stroll along the Hall of Mirrors and admire the opulent suites and royal quarters at your leisure. Then, head out into the beautiful gardens to continue your palace visit.

When you’re done exploring the palace and grounds, return your audio guide and exit the palace grounds to conclude your visit.

Please note: During the winter months, between November and March, enjoy access to the famous French gardens and explore grounds designed by André Le Notre. In summer (from April to October), you can access the gardens on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Summer Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays (from April to October) your ticket will include the famous Fountain Show in the gardens. On summer Fridays and Tuesdays (from April to October) your ticket includes the Musical Fountain Show.
