This tour was disappointing for two reasons: it was very crowded at the Palace making it feel like we were on a very large tour and the guide was one of the worst I have ever experienced. To be fair, we visited during the ParaOlympics and there was excessive demand, but it could have been handled better. The guide was not informative as much as he was opinionated and made inappropriate comments both regarding historical facts and the people in attendance. His commentary was not funny nor was it enlightening. I’m sure there are better guides.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, articulate, and managed logistics well. We skipped the lines, and he guided us through the palace without making us feel rushed.

Good value for money. We got to skip the line and go to the second deck. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and gave us a list of attractions, restaurants, and bars. We weren’t able to make time for the river cruise, but you could use the vouchers within a 6 month timeframe. If you’re traveling during the Olympics allow extra time!!

The itinerary is pretty well packed for a one day walking tour. If you have never been to Paris and can handling walking without difficulty, this a good tour to consider. I'd also recommend this as a good "primer" or "introduction" to some the sites you might consider coming back to on your own when you have more time to linger.

Our guide was so passionate about the subject matter. I learned so much about the works we saw. Her enthusiasm and GREAT information really went so far in making a crowded, hot day very enjoyable. Well worth it!

It was nice the rain deterd me from the garden, but it was nice from inside. I'm sure in its hay days it was beautiful but for it was nice.

Our guide was so knowledgable. He was pacey, which we liked and knew French, European and English history and could link them together. Nicholas drove us to Versailles, avoiding all the Olympic road closures. For the money, he was expecting better transportation though. A cranky minibus did not match the price. Management needs to do better.

We had an excellent tour of Versailles Palace, thanks to our fantastic guide. Skipping the queue was a huge plus, especially given how extremely crowded it was. Our guide was quirky and interesting, sharing fascinating anecdotes and historical insights that made the palace's rich history come alive. The opulence of the palace and the beauty of the gardens were even more enjoyable with such an engaging guide. Highly recommend this tour!

The palace was as impressive on the outside as it was on the inside! As we approached the palace, we knew that we were in for an incredible day. Our tour guide met us at the office and 8 of us most comfortably jumped into a new Mercedes tour van. The ride from the office to the Versailles palace took 45 minutes maximum. We parked right outside the main gate and from there our formal tour began. Just walking thru the main gates was breath taking. But, to hear the details of the palace, chapel, stables and gardens from our dedicated guide (whose name I have rudely forgotten) set the stage for our day. The line of people to get into the palace was enough for me to do an about face and head back to Paris. If it weren't for the 'skip the line' feature of this tour, I would have done just that. We got into the palace and left that long line of people behind us. Whew! The palace was beautiful! The architecture was glorious. The size and richness of the rooms that we toured thru was extraordinary. The Hall of Mirrors was everything that I've read about. In short...the palace inside and outside was magnificent. If I had one comment to make on a negative side...I wish that we had more time to visit the breath taking gardens that sat behind the Palace. We were given 30 minutes to see the gardens. But realizing the sheer size of the Palace grounds and not wanting to be late for the van's departure back to Paris, we had but a few minutes to see a small portion of the gardens before we had to head back to the van. Another 30 - 45 minutes to walk through the gardens would have been perfect. Please consider taking this tour if you are coming from Paris. Having a private tour guide explaining the inner secrets of the palace along with being transported from Paris and being able to skip that mind numbing line of people waiting to get into the palace is well worth your investment of time and resources. We met up with our tour guide in Paris at 8 AM and we were dropped off at the same location in Paris that we met up with the tour guide. We were back at the tour office around 1 PM. Fabulous half day of touring and a wonderful experience.
