Get straight to the heart of France's most famous art destination with this 2-hour express tour of the Louvre. Skip the long entrance lines with a small group of no more than 20 and head straight for the museum's most famous and captivating works, including the 'Mona Lisa,' 'The Raft of the Medusa,' and other masterpieces. Enhance your viewing experience by learning the stories and secrets behind the art and artists from an expert licensed guide.
What to Expect

Meet your guide at the Arc du Carousel at 11:15 am to begin your tour. The Louvre is a must-see in Paris, not just for its incredible art but for the history held within its walls. This was once a palace where princes rode their horses up and down the hallways; a sprawling complex fortified to protect the first family of France. Go beyond the obvious on a jam-packed Louvre highlights tour, peering behind the artworks to unlock their secrets.

You’ll see famous French works like Géricault’s Raft of Medusa, which depicts the true story of shipwrecked sailors driven to cannibalism. Of course, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa will play a major role in your tour. You won’t believe how tiny the Louvre’s most famous artwork is, nor how many guests have tried to destroy her. At the sculpture gallery you’ll encounter another Italian in Michelangelo’s Slaves, plus Anthony Canova’s incredibly romantic Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss.

You’ll also get a sense for that other use of the Louvre, as a royal palace. With your guide on hand to point out the details, notice the beautiful ceiling panels and explore a special room filled with crown jewels.

As you explore, wear headsets to help you hear your guide and to ensure that you don’t get lost. Traveling in a small group of just 20 people or fewer means you’ll also find your guide easier to interact with and question. You will tour with the best, most qualified licensed guides to answer any and all questions you may have along the way.

Skip the long lines and join this short (but sweet) adventure into the heart of French art and history. The tour ends at approximately 1 pm.

Louvre with my daughter

We had an amazing tour with Lauren! She made the experience very special for my 11 year old daughter too. I was also very pleased that upon asking for a wheelchair, they gave us a private tour for the same price.
