    What to Expect
Visit: Musee Picasso-Paris, 5 rue de Thorigny Hotel Sale, Marais, 75003 Paris France

Opened in 1985 in the lavish Hotel Salé, the Picasso Museum, located in the heart of Paris in the Marais district, is a must-see for all Picasso's enthusiasts.
Discover an extraordinary collection of over 5, 000 works, masterpieces, personal archives, sculptures and furnitures. This very complete collection offers a great picture of the artist's works and creative process.
The museum houses 300 stunning paintings, from Picasso Self-portrait and La Celestina produced during his Blue period to the Kiss, Large Nudes, Matadors and Musicians in his final years, redrawing all Picasso main periods.
The Picasso museum also gathers a selection of sculptures and ceramics as well as numerous prints and engravings and photographic archives.
One fun fact about the Picasso Museum is that it actually possesses an outstanding collection of 50 items of furniture designed by Diego Giacometti, gathered exclusively for the refurnishing of the Hôtel Salé.
After your visit, enter the library, sheltering 11,000 publications and some one hundred books illustrated by Pablo Picasso.

I purchased a ticket via TripAdvisor and when I arrived at the museum I was informed it was invalid and had to repurchase. The Picasso museum was excellent however, great collection.

My friends and I booked a skip the line self directed tour when the museum first opened. We were the only people inside for 20 minutes or so, and then the crowd increased. It’s much more enjoyable early morning with few tourists. The exhibit intertwined...More

Having visited this museum many years ago, I was anxious to view it after its recent renovation. Picasso is now paired with other artists in exhibitions. We were told that the new director is bringing in other artists in an effort to increase traffic... Sadly,...More
