About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- katherinek2380 contributionsTerrible tourTerrible tour especially for the kids. We could barely hear the kids tour guide over the boat noise and the adult tour guide who speaks upstairs while the kids tour is based down stairs. Tour guide constantly switches between languages which makes it hard for the kids to follow. At times the monument being discussed was out of view by the time the guide spoke in the relevant language so we missed looking at the relevant details. I do not recommend this tour.Written 11 September 2024
- LorenzoL8880 contributionsThe tour was phenomenalThe cruise was great. The translation of the scenic into english by the tour guide was exceptional. I highly recommend this tour.Written 6 August 2024
- Kristine K0 contributionsAmazing experience! It was an amazing experience. My family and I really enjoyed the tour. Very relaxing. Make sure to pack sunnies and hat!!Written 17 July 2024
- I6524TTmeganr0 contributionsNot a "kid friendly" tour as advertisedwent on the family tour expecting it to be a kid friendly tour. We learned nothing. The seats were all taken on top the boat and we could not see anything the guide was talking about and he was talking so far we could hardly understand. It was not talked about in a way a child could understand and there was supposed to be some "diploma' for kids at the end, there was not. It was a very disappointing hour and we were happy to get off.Written 7 July 2024
- aschwar0 contributionsPerfect way to start our vacation!loved this boat ride. We took the 7:30 ride with a choice of wine or beer (champagne was an additional charge). There was no narration but it was amazing to see life along the seine. Boat wasn’t too big (unlike many of the others we saw). Get there 20 - 30 mins early so you get a seat on top.Written 6 July 2024
- denewton0 contributionsBest way to see ParisThe 1 hour afternoon cruise takes in all the major sights along the river which gives great photo opportunities. The guide was good if at times inaudible and could only be heard downstairs so my advcse is to go upstairs for the best views.Written 20 April 2024
- Cora_Visits_Places0 contributionsNight Seine Cruise with MusicWe opted for the night cruise with music and were so happy with our experience! I wondered at first if the lack of guide commentary would make it not worthwhile, but actually it let us focus on vibes rather than facts which is a very nice way to spend an evening, especially with one's partner. The seine is lit up with lovely yellow lighting, and even the boat lit up with fairy lights as the tour went on! It was beautiful. At the start of our tour the Eiffel Tower sparkled, so the timing is just right for catching the lights starting. It rained and was a bit windy while we were up there, but we came prepared with waterproof ponchos and Scottish stubbornness and had a great time all the same. But if you don't feel like sitting in the rain, you can take shelter underneath and pop up for photos, plenty of people did just that. I would recommend arriving in plenty of time and double checking to make sure you have the right port - there are a few competing companies very close to each other and we saw one unlucky pair get told they were at the wrong one! It pays to arrive early anyway because then you get early choice of seats, which I am sure makes a big difference in the high tourist season. Found this tour on Get Your Guide, but I am sure it is available on other sites too.Written 19 April 2024
- 1tomm10 contributionsOvercrowded with annoying musicThis evening cruise was shortened stopping just before reaching Isle de Cite so we were not able to see anything on that side of the river. Should have scheduled when the full tour was available. Never-the-less, the sites were amazing as they lit up at night. Two things detracted from the tour: 1) the upper deck was ridiculously over crowded and the rows of chairs placed so close together that there was almost no leg room. Despite that, people kept coming and pushed themselves into every chair jamming our knees and feet in the process. 2) the 'lounge singer' music certainly didn't add to the ambience and the speakers were placed so that they couldn't be avoided. The crowd of people on board were loud, and apparently felt a need to use every underpass as an opportunity for howling and hooting during the entire length. Huh? Will probably try another tour operator next time after checking reviews.Written 31 March 2024
- hancockmatt0 contributionsThey’ll just cancel. We booked a boat trip for new year, only to have it cancelled as we were boarding our flight to Paris. The reality is that we booked this because things get booked up on new year, so cancelling it just before is ludicrous. They blamed a “blackout”, which is ridiculous 48 hours before the event. Don’t bother booking - they can’t be trusted and will leave you with nothing to do at a busy time. Absolute joke.Written 29 December 2023
- birminghama0 contributionsExcellent Efficient TourInformational tour took exactly 1 hour went up and down the river very thorough information. Location was easy to find and very convenient from Eiffel Tower area. We had our tickets on the iPhone so checking in was a breeze. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this tour.Written 23 December 2023

- JaxJoe0 contributionsGreat guide, stunning grounds! We were unsure of selecting the 7 hour experience, but are delighted that we so did. Had we not done this we would probably have focused more on the building rather than the grounds. Momo was an outstanding guide who moved quickly and has a effervescent personality. He expertly shared with us these amazing grounds. Bravo Momo!Written 29 September 2023

When buying the tickets for the river cruise I was under the impression that the experience would be as advertised.upon getting to the boarding dock there is a sign,( that looks like it has been there for quite a while ) that said the boat will not cruise the whole river due to a previous flood. To take up the 1 hour time, the boat just drove very slow 1/4 of the length of the original route and turned around..the landmarks it had us see were buildings we had walked by to get to the port. It was just upsetting to have to pay full price for half the experience.

Dear W965JEchantalb,
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your precious feed-back.
Your opinion and inputs are very important to us in order to ensure the continuous improvement of the quality of our services and we sincerely appreciate your contribution.
We are sorry to learn that your experience at Vedettes de Paris didn’t meet your expectation.
Indeed, for security reasons, the high level of the Seine river forced us to modify our usual pathway, causing the boat to avoid the historical center of Paris.
Unfortunately, alternatives pathways don’t offer the same experience. Those pathways can be modified at any time depending on the level of the water.
The new pathway was posted in the lines before boarding and our team informed every passenger of those changes before embarking and at the cash desk. Our partners were also informed as soon as the level of the water started rising.
We apologies for the inconvenience,
Yours sincerely,
Customer Relations Department

The boat was a nice way to see the sights and learn the history of some of the most well known structures in the city. The tour was fun and informative, but many people were standing, taking photos, and blocking some views which made it less enjoyable. I'd recommend finding a spot at the front or back.
The tickets will get you on a boat leaving around the time of the reservation, though depending on your place in line you may get onto boats leaving some minutes later. This was great since I had only a few minutes to spare and wasn't worried about missing the tour.

We had some extra time our last day, and wanted to try out the cruise. We are two 20year old girls and had had a good experience! We recommend putting on warm clothes, mittens and a hat is smart as there will be some wind. You can also buy snacks and champange on your trip.
We would recommend this tour!:-)

The snack was not included, we had to pay extra. The tour was “suppose” to be in english. The tour guide spoke mostly in french and not in english, few english sentences here and there but all explanations were in frence. The speakers volume was low even-though we did ask them to raise the volume but nothing was done. In general it was a total waste of time and money and i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We arrived 16 minutes early but the line was already so long that when they allowed everyone on the boat the upper deck filled up before we got on. This left us sitting in the lower indoor seats which wouldn’t have been a problem except the tour guide is on the top level and there are no speakers in the boat so none of the passengers inside can hear the tour guide and you only see what’s on your side of the boat unlike the people on the open top upper level. I found a small sticker on the wall that mentioned they have an app (no one said anything about it or gives you any information/directions when boarding) so I downloaded it but the audio wouldn’t work. Sadly it ended up just being a 30-40 minute indoor boat ride but we did pass some beautiful structures.

We booked our trip for 11:00 but the boat left a little early and we missed it. Luckily we were able to take any available tour that day so we ended up taking an evening ride at 5pm. The views and lights in the evening were spectacular and we arrived back just as the Eiffel Tower was putting on its 6pm light show. The guide switched back frequently between English and French so it was a little hard to follow along but only because she had alot to say! Highly recommend this boat tour.

Was very good, but buying tickets in advance cost more than if we’d bought them at the quay side. Guide was brilliant - spoke English very well and was available to answer questions. Overall a really good experience.

We turned up with only minutes to spare and got on the boat without a problem. The guide spoke both French and English and was knowledgeable in pointing out the many buildings and bridges of Paris. It is a short trip of 1 hour but well worth doing for the views and having a little quieter time especially in a hot August tourist season.

We showed up 30 mins before departure and were notified of the cancellation. Paris had received too much rain in the upcoming weeks and overflowed the river. The staff was exceptionally helpful in taking our tickets and contact information to be reimbursed within a few days

Unfortunately the day of our tour the boat wasn't able to follow the typical itinerary and could not travel by all of the main attractions. This was due to previous rain and the water level of the river so beyond the company's control, I realize. Also though it was a beautiful sunny day, the roof top seating was completely closed leaving only a few seats outdoors, all seating was enclosed which was far less enjoyable. The narrator of the tour was a little difficult to hear and didn't manage to captivate our attention- this was probably mostly because she didn't have many monuments or major sites to talk about.
