About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- RobinSmalley0 contributionsTotally Unreliable!!!The operator cancelled ten minutes before starting time and we didnt receive it until we had waited over thirty minutes! A big disappointment and sad way to begin our holiday in Bordeaux. Fortunately a wonderful FREE guide agreed to let us join his group and saved the day. Do not count on this operator!Written 13 September 2024
- Joop F0 contributionsCancelled tourThe tour operator cancelled 40 minutes before the tour would start, without reason. If they had cancelled earlier, we could have made other plans.Written 1 September 2024
- chriswD6930GU0 contributionsBordeaux Small group walking tour.Only the two of us on the tour, personal, great " one to one" interaction, plenty of flexibility. Camila our guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly with plenty of incites.Written 30 July 2024
- SecretKent0 contributionsFab timeWe’ve done many city tours and this was one of the best. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and kind. She gave us a 2hr walk around Bordeaux and her explanations of the history of the city really made it come alive for us. And great cafe and restaurant recommendations too. Tip: take an umbrella even if rain isn’t forecast!Written 6 July 2024
- scottmordue0 contributionsCancelled us 30 mins before it was due to startOur walking tour was cancelled 30 mins before it was due to start at 10am. It left us without a tour in the only time we could do it. Had to do the bus tour instead, which was better than we thought.Written 4 July 2024
- pafrench0 contributionsWalking tourOur guide was absolutly fantastic. We enjoyed her stories and her knowledge about wine and history. It was wonderful to do the walking tour the day after we arrived to get the information and see the sights. Excellent value.Written 24 June 2024
- 464andreasp0 contributionsTour cancelled without giving any reasonTour was cancelled just 2 hours before the tour without giving any reason. Due to short notice, we were unable to book another tour and we lost the oportunity to explore the village.Written 21 June 2024
- amymY80RX0 contributionsAmazing Food Tour Experience!!If you're considering booking a food tour in Bordeaux, book this one!! We tried an amazing variety of delicious food (and wine!) and had an amazing time getting to know Bordeaux on foot during our first day there. Loved that it was a small group experience, and loved getting inside tips about not only the food & wine culture of Bordeaux, but also some neat history and ideas of things to do during the rest of our stay. Thank you so much for a fabulous experience, I am still dreaming about the Dune Blanche cream puffs, and the Crémant!Written 9 June 2024
- annamariaaN345LC0 contributionsAbove expectations and good context of the city!I really enjoyed this walking tour of Bordeaux! I was in the city for just a day, and I wanted to make sure I could see and learn as much as possible. Mark's tour definitely went above and beyond my expectations and I was happy to learn about not only the main tourist areas, but also some of the more-overlooked yet super interesting parts and history of the city. Thank you for the great tour!Written 5 June 2024

- U3366PU_0 contributionsBordeaux is the gastro paradise!Totally recommend! Bordeaux is a city of flavors that sometimes are hidden so I advise to take this excursion and not lose time on touristic traps instead! Hope you enjoy the delicious tastes of Bordeaux too! Bon appétit !Written 29 May 2024
- jeantJ8709TL0 contributionscheese and wine with other stops food tour in bordeauxGood selection of stores utilised, particularly the wine tasting at the end of the tour in a local wine cave. The tour consisted of walking through old town Bordeaux tasting cheeses , chocolate, local jams which are called confitures in France. A really surprising interesting stop was a local honey store to taste variations of their own honey. I loved the inclusion of a local creperie to try local galettes, the savoury brother which were Devine. Overall a really good tour with lots of food.Written 3 May 2024

I participated on the walking tour led by Skylar this morning and had the most wonderful experience! We walked around beautiful historic places and she shared very interesting information and insighs on the city, as well as tips on places to go for food and for shopping. She was very nice and kind to everyone and very energetic and articulated. Definitely recommend!

Our guide Mark was very informative and entertaining. He really gave us an insight into the history of Bordeaux and a sense of what it is like to live in the modern day city. All questions were answered with authority and he had a broad knowledge of his subject . 2 hours very well spent.

I really enjoyed hearing about the history of Bordeaux and how it related to the buildings, sculpture and street signs etc. Also I enjoyed the local knowledge from the guide about how people live today. He gave some very useful information on restaurants and how to achieve best value for money.

My wife and i booked last minute on a fairly grey day in November for a walking tour of Bordeaux but Mark made it super interesting and made sure we saw the whole town and ate the local caneli. Thoroughly recommended if you want to make your visit a lot more special than just walking around yourself. After the tour with Mark we went up the clock tower ourselves which is well worth the visit.

I had a really positive experience on this tour with our guide Mark. The group was around 15 people and lasted just around 2 hours.
Mark was very engaging and answered all the groups questions about history and culture in Bordeaux.
I have done other free tours around Europe and this was one of the best in terms of content and delivery. Highly recommended for everyone!!!

Excellent entertaining tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. I’m really glad we did the tour. The tour itself is free (although I think they do private tours for a fee). However, it’s recommended to leave a tip of around £10-15 per person. Very good value for money for the enjoyment we got from the tour.

This was the perfect tour to become acquainted with the highlights of Bordeaux. Mark gave us the right amount of information on the major sites of Bordeaux. The walk was about 2 hours and was not difficult. I also appreciated Mark giving us the real history on how this city became so wealthy. It’s a history lesson most major cities in France, England, The Netherlands and especially in the United States that must never be forgotten.

My wife and I like to go on walking tours when we visit a city that is new to us. . We really enjoyed the tour we did of Bordeaux and were impressed by the young lady who gave us the tour. She was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the city and it’s past and present. After the tour was complete she also guided us to Paul’s caffe where we enjoyed coffee and cakes in the Bordeaux sunshine. Thank you for the very nice tour . We can only apologise now for not remembering the young ladies name but we do remember how nice she was .

I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide knew a lot about Bordeaux and its history, it was very informative but also sometimes quiet funny. We even got the chance to buy canelles at a shop famous for them.
Thank you very much!
