    Professional, informative and entertaining
Ani was an excellent host, professional, entertaining and knows his wine. The tour was very informative, we learnt a lot and I may now be a convert to red wine from Bordeaux. Tour highly recommended if you have a couple of hours to spare.

    Great short activity in Bordeux
Very enjoyable experience. We were lucky enough to have Ani as a guide, he was professional, fun and knowledgeable. Fun facts on the walk and in depth wine tasting with exceptional cheese.

    Excellent Tour. Great Value.
This tour lasted around 2 hrs. Interesting tour around Bordeaux's main historical sites. The area is fairly flat so walking around city is easy. Learned lots form our guide. Ends with short wine and cheese tasting session. Can choose red or white wine to accompany the selection of cheeses. Great value - well recommended.

Interesting and informative tour. Clem was really nice and had a lot of knowledge of the city and the Bordeaux wine. Would recommend to use her as your guide.

    Great tour
Very professional tour with lots of interesting information and good wines! A nice little walk in the city with some information about the city's wine related history, and then finished with a tasting where we got to know how to distinguish between different types of grapes, regions and vintages.

I travelled into France for work, being a wine lover I decided I wanted to learn some more about Bordeaux being the wine capital of the world, I’m quiet an introverted person and didn’t want to just see a vineyard. This tour offered a more niche approach to your typical wine tour, I had the pleasure of having Adrian as my tour guide and was accompanied by a lovely American couple. Started of in a very convenient location (easy to find as Adrian was holding a bright blue umbrella) he then allowed some time for the others to join, we then set off to three locations which took around 45 minutes where he explained the history of how Bordeaux became the wine capital of the world, after we finished the walking part of the tour he treated us to a local delegacy ‘ Chouamoure’ some sort of vanilla filled pastry (to die for) and then we moved onto the wine tasting. It consisted of 4 different wines, all of which were a different variety and each one paired with a different cheese, throughout the tasting session he would give us an insight about the wine itself. Very informative and knowledgeable, post the tour he sent me some recommendations to cater for a solo traveller. Concluding, thank you Adrian for a very small group you made it seem less and showed us your local knowledge and expertise of wine, I’ve walked away from this feeling more knowledgeable and made me want to return to Bordeaux as I feel I have more to see now.

Amazing and Insightful Wine and Cheese Tour!
We did the Bordeaux cheese and wine tasting tour with Clem and it was such a great and informative experience. We started off with a walking tour, where we learnt about the history of wine making in Bordeaux, followed by a tasting at a local wine shop. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who stays in Bordeaux. Thank you Clem for going above and beyond with your tour, and making it a very memorable experience.

    So-so tour
The tour group of 30+ was too large. The guide wanted to have group participation and gave much of the tour in a group question and answer format which wasted a lot of time that could have been used to convey more information.

A great way to learn about wine in Bordeaux.
Great way to spend the afternoon. Our Irish guide was knowledgable and made the tour interesting and fun. Delicious wine and cheese at the end of the tour in a very nice wine bar with an interesting dispenser which allowed you to select and taste about 30 wines from every region of France and beyond. Highly recommended.

A good introduction to Bordeaux wine.
An informal but informative tour with a short walk around the area before adjourning to a great wine bar for tasting. We had 4 wines paired with cheese - a white, 2 reds and a sweet one. Our guide Chaz the Irishman was good and made an excellent teacher. My only disappointment was there was 11 ( and should have been 13), way in excess of the promised 8.

We had an informative and educational tour with Clem. She gave us a history of the wine industry in Bordeaux and then provided a wine and cheese tasting and pairing. Clem was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and entertaining. We highly recommend this tour!

Our friendly and funny guide told us some of Bordeaux's history, linked to different landmarks, and some interesting tidbits of information. He also shared tips on things for tourists to do (including ways to save $ on activities). I've always found the Free Walking Tours a great way to start exploring a city, and this was no exception. THANKS!!

The walking tour was everything we hoped it would be! It gave us a great introduction to the city & our lovely guide shared really interesting facts as well as personalised recommendations for restaurants and bars following the end of the tour. My personal highlight was actually the very start at the Girodins monument - where we found out what each element of the statue signified. 5 stars much deserved!

My guide Ani was excellent and like touring with a friend. He met me at my AirBnb and took me on a 4 hours walking tour which ended with a wine tasting. He is a Master Sommelier and has a college degree in wine. We were invited into a small gallery before it opened by the owner and had a private tour. VERY NICE! I would highly recommend this company for a private tour at a very good price.

Clemence was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Her knowledge of the area was outstanding and she was sensitive to our needs and requests! She shared not only the history, sights, and culture, but on request gave us great ideas for follow ups and places to eat. We loved this tour!

Great tour. We felt very comfortable with the guide (Anni) who made everyone participate in some interactive way during the tour. He also named several places where to go to eat or drink. Relating to this he can be trusted, as he told us he is becoming a sommelier. Tip him generously.

We did the English walking tour Sunday 2nd April with Rosie, and had a wonderful and informative two hours around the city centre. We learned about Bordeaux and the surroundings through History and were shown interesting places that we would have been unlikely to notice or across on our own. We learned about the significance of the major buildings and areas of the city, as well as fun tidbits about different places and people associated with Bordeaux. A thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours with a knowledgable, friendly and fun guide. If you could do it at the start of your stay, better again. Highly recommend.

Ani was terrific from the day before the tour when he texted me to confirm our meeting place. He started by asking what my interests were and then he focused on the history of Bordeaux as requested. He was engaging and funny and made the time walking around the city in the heat thoroughly enjoyable.

My sister and I recently had one day to spend in Bordeaux. With such limited time we knew if we wanted to see the highlights of the city we needed to take a walking tour. Our guide Ani lead our tour and it was a very informative 2 hours. We learned the history of Bordeaux, saw so many beautiful sites and even picked up a little knowledge about architecture. At the conclusion of the tour he gave us some restaurant recommendations. We really enjoyed our brief overview of Bordeaux.

What a great tour! We (2 young female travelers) so enjoyed this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. We learned so much about the history of the city, day to day life, and some of the best places to eat/drink. I would recommend this tour for anyone coming to Bordeaux.

They were very unorganized when we were there. We sat alone to a lunch of cold mashed potatoes, green beans and duck with pimento cheese type spread. Desert was nice. Glass of wine was same size as out tastings. Our guide was new and spoke very fast with a heavy French accent and we got very little of it. I do not recommend this tour.

Hello, Thanks for your comment unfortunately we don’t do food on private walking tour. You might have got confused with another food tour. It will be great if you can redirect this comment to the right tour you took. Thanks for your help and sorry to know you had a bad experience with another company. Merci
