      Great food tour of Bordeaux
Clemence was a wonderful tour guide. She was super knowledgeable and passionate about Bordeaux. I took my 8 year-old and we both enjoyed the tour. Loved the food and history. My son loved all the sweet shops and both of us highly recommend the tour!

An interesting study of older vintage wines
A very enjoyable and informative hour where we tasted 4 wines of varying ages and levels. Our host was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Two of the wines were around 30 years old and two about 15. We were also provided with cheese and charcuterie. A very interesting exercise and heartily recommended.

      Perfect taste of Bordeaux!
Great introduction to the city and Aurélien was a brilliant guide! Shared lots of local knowledge of the history of Bordeaux, about the people, buildings and culture. The wine tasting was excellent and the lunch was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

Great food and history all in one tour!
Aurelien our tour guide did an excellent job. The food was terrific and the commentary along the way about history, culture, and architecture was very interesting.

      Fantastic Guide!
Our guide, Clemence, was fantastic - in addition to food tips, she shared about Bordeaux’s history and where else we should go to after the tour (much appreciated!) The lunch was French fusion which was fine but I would have preferred classic French.

      Nice food and wine tour.
Lovely tour of the old town with just the right amount of history mixed in with food and wine. A nice experience and would recommend to visitors to Bordeaux for the first time.

      Do take this tour
Our guide, Clemence, was outstanding. Her English is very good, her personality is even better. Wonderfully knowledgeable, fun, loving, with lots of interesting points to make on our walking tour. The food was great, the wine was wonderful, and the others on our tour were delightful.

Nice tour operator needs more variety of options
Nice tour with food and wine. I just wish there was more than just one savory option which was an egg dish. Everything else was deserts which of course tend to be cheaper. Should have a few more main dishes to sample.

Bordeaux- a walk through it’s history, wine, food and desserts!
We very much enjoyed our tour of Bordeaux with Aurlien! We sampled wine, walked around the old city and took in some historical sites. We had a great lunch and finished off with some great local sweets and chocolate tastings. All in all, a highly recommended and great way to spend 3.5 hours exploring Bordeaux!

      Good tour
We did three walking food tours in France and have done a few in other countries. Whilst the tour was enjoyable, it was probably amongst the average of those we have done in the past. The tour consists of a wine tasting (bloke was lovely albeit a bit hard to understand - we went back and bought a bottle he recommended that we didn't try and it was excellent), a main meal at a local Cafe which sources locally and three sweet stops. Whilst we like the concept of the cafe we found the mains to be underwhelming, lacking in any real punch. Of the sweet stops we enjoyed the ones which were similar to a profiteroles the most. As usual, you don't just eat but learn a little about the place you are visiting. Clem was our guide and is a really lovely person. She happily shared tips with the group and adapted to the pace of the group.

We had a wonderful experience. Clémence was our tour guide. She was super knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a great deal about the history of the city and the region as well as interesting and fun cultural details. The restaurant and shops that we visited for tastings were awesome and their representatives were also very friendly and eager to share and teach us about their specialties. Our tour included a wine shop with 3 tastings, lunch, and 3 distinct sweet shops (ice cream, chocolate, and a bakery for the famous Bordeaux cookie, canelé). All of the food was high quality and delicious. This tour was a highlight of our trip. We loved it.

Delightful tour led by Clara, a friendly and vivacious guide. We went to a wine shop and tasted three great wines after getting a brief history of Bordeaux. The wines were delicious and no hard sell, just an offer if interested including shipping. The wine shop presented a thorough background on each of the wines, including region, style, tasting notes and price. Then we went to lunch at a bistro that had very good food. My wife and I opted for a glass of wine to accompany it (7 euro each; not part of the tour but worth it). Then we had three local desserts, ending at a chocolatier (where we caved and bought some for home). Definitely recommend it to get familiar with the historic area of Bordeaux and enjoy good local food and wine.

We had a great day with Clemence, who showed us around Bordeaux. She was very lovely and made sure that we feel good and have an interesting tour. We startet with a wine tasting, had a good lunch in a typical restaurant and then a few stops at local sweet spots (ice cream, cake and chocolate). Afterwards, she sent us an email with recommendations for the rest of our stay. Next to the food, she told us some interesting facts about the history of Bordeaux. All in all we had a great time and can recommend the tour.

This tour was disappointing. I expected more for the price. I’ve had better tours in other cities-albeit different countries- for a lot less money. The guide was very pleasant but I think the organising company should build up a better rapport with the producers visited. One expects a ‘grazing’ tour with stops at artisan outlets, tasting duck pate or shellfish for example. Instead we had a wine tasting in a shop and a little main course in a restaurant. The cultural element consisted of an account of some historical facts and did not include visits to important buildings such as the Cathedral. In summary, I consider the tour to be bad value and could not honestly recommend it.

Thank you for your helpful comment. We are sorry you didn’t enjoy our experience. I fear that the stark difference between prices that you speak of is more due to the difference in the cost of living in the different cities you went to. As you must already know, the cost of living of Bordeaux rivals the one of Paris. We only work with high quality establishments and we provide products loved by the locals, our local food experts are selected for their expertise and need to be paid adequately: our prices are decided according to our expenses.

This tour we arranged via TA and it seemed like good value for money and featured unique Bordeaux wine and food. It did all those things. Aurelian our guide was knowledgeable, engaging and very personable. He related well to all in the group, and was very giving of himself. We were treated to local history, food and wine. The wine tasting was excellent with three local wines offered, as well as excellent wine knowledge from the sommelier. You didn't have to have an extensive knowledge it was all explained and I left knowing more than when I went in. Lunch at a local restaurant was amazing with a main course included, wine or additional courses were extra, but not expensive. The tour finished wit sampling excellent pastries and chocolate. An excellent few hours well led by Aurelian and value for money.

We just finished our food and wine tour with Clémence and it far surpassed our expectations. Clémence has a deep reservoir of knowledge about the history of Bordeaux and is enthusiastic about sharing it. As first-time visitors to this lovely city, Clémence made sure we had the historic and cultural context of each site we visited, whether it was a cathedral, a wine shop, a bistro or a pâtisserie. We came away with a genuine appreciation for all that the city has to offer and for its fascinating history, and for Clémence’s kindness and expertise. We would highly recommend requesting her if you take the tour.

I was not sure what to expect , but this tour surpassed all of my expectations. Our tour guide, Aurelius, showed us the most important sites of downtown Bordeaux and explained the history behind them. He contacted us the day before to ensure we knew where to meet him which made a big difference. In between sites we had the opportunity to try some of the local food and wine and learn what makes this city such a special place. The 3 hrs walk was fun, and the wine, chocolate, and desert tasting were delicious and plentiful. Tasty food combined, with the tour guide patience, suggestions, and some historical facts along the way made this tour one of my favorite experiences in this town. Give it a try without hesitation!

Antoine met us at the fountain of Place de la Bourse with a bag of delicious cream puffs 😋 and lead us through the streets of Bordeaux pointing out buildings of interest, bits of history and good spots to dine. We enjoyed learning about biodynamiic wines and tasted several examples. Lunch was a traditional French meal in a cozy 2nd floor restaurant overlooking the streets of Bordeaux. After lunch we discovered some tasty chocolates and finished the tour with suggestions of what to do with our remaining time in Bordeaux. The tour was very informative and with only two participants it nicely exceeded our expectations .

This was an awesome introduction to Bordeaux because we covered a lot of territory by foot, heard interesting facts about the city, and tasted local specialties. Clemenceau is friendly and gregarious, knowledgeable about food and history, and very warm and gracious. Great tour!!

Aurelien did a great job! It was a rainy morning and during our first stop it started pouring. In spite of the rain, everyone was laughing and enjoying ourselves. Aure then suggested we hop on the train which was perfect. We made it to a wonderful lunch location pairs with a perfect red, and the sunshine then returned. We tasted some great wines and found some of the best desserts shops in the area. It was a great introduction to different areas we hadn’t found yet. He followed up with a list of area suggestions. It was a great tour!
