Our guide, Emanuelle, has a delightful personality; and on the drive to St Emilion was a fount of information about the Bordeaux area, its wine makers and wine making. Her tour of the village of St Emilion was supremely informative. Sitting in the front of the van, we admired her smooth driving skill. We regret that the rest of our review does not match the remarks of previous reviewers. Yes, our Chateau Balestard La Tonnelle guide explained and showed us the processes of wine making very professionally. And true, the weather prevented us tasting wine on the terrace with views over the far countryside. But the large tasting room was bleak and unwelcoming. We moved swiftly from one wine to the next, with no plain biscuit (as in Britain) to prepare for the next tasting. And for the cost of this tour we would expect some refreshment after the wine tasting before the return drive to Bordeaux. Obviously not coffee before wine tasting, but certainly to end the Chateau visit, preferably with a small local pastry.

Top day out with Valentin touring the village of St Emilion & 3 vineyards. We learnt so much about the production & tasting of these superb wines. Valentin was a great host, & the picnic provided was excellent quality - very tasty & beautifully presented. Thank you for a lovely day.

Really fun way to spend an afternoon! Good instructor abd nice wines/ snacks. Nice part of the city, lively walkways and shops nearby ( Passage Sarget is gorgeous!)

Departure in a minibus from near Place de l'Opéra. Took an hour or so to get to the Margaux region, and similar back. Affable driver, but inaudible except those in the front seat beside him. Saw two wineries, and guided tour and tasting, plus questions. The highlight has to be seeing Chateau Margaux itself, though only to photograph through the gates. Pleasant enough trip, but pricy.

A very good introduction into wine tasting and the Bordeaux wine area. Very well priced and perfect for a novice like myself, a nice chilled out experience.

I haven’t drank much French wine in recent years and was very keen to revisit and find out more about them both red and white. Lovely afternoon with a very knowledgeable guide and very pleasantly surprised with the different wine flavours. For a short wine tasting experience this is very good.

From the very start the host was energetic, engaging and very friendly. She answered all the questions asked and told some really interesting facts about the bordeaux region and how there is so many different types of wine

My wife and I took part in the wine seminar introducing Bordeaux wines with cheese and sausage varieties. It is a short but very interesting and educational introduction to the special features of the wines of this region. Despite the short time, we were able to learn a lot and really enjoyed the seminar. It was very entertaining and we would like to thank the organizers from Olala.

Highly recommend. Left at 9am and returned at 1pm. Our guide Noah was excellent and very knowledgeable. Good value for money.

Had an amazing masterclass of Wine tasting. Anna showed us the way how the french wines are made and besides that, we had some amazing various wines that brightened our horizons. Thank you so much!

Absolutely fabulous day with Nicole as our guide! The whole day was well planned, informative and interesting. Met some great people at the three châteaus we visited and got to sample some very nice wines along the way. The picnic lunch was amazing, enjoyed with a glass of wine next to the vines! Will definitely use Oolala again when we next visit Bordeaux - highly recommended 😊

Matilda was a very welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable host. Her style is relaxed and engaging. She made no assumptions of her audiences wine knowledge. We were all different and it was appreciated. The wines were excellent and varied in price and quality. We learned a lot and were not pressured to purchase though indeed we did. We had a great time, fantastic value and highly recommended. Thanks Matilda! x

Had the most wonderful time. We got to enjoy 1 white and 3 red wines. Following that we were able to guess the difference between two different other red wines. This was all paired with a selection of meat and cheese. I would definitely recommended.

Noe was a fantastic guide. He was very informative and friendly. The wine was lovely and I gained a lot of knowledge about wine from this tasting. The wine was delightful along with the cheese and meat platter. They were also very accommodating for dietary restrictions which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend doing this tour.

Wonderful day with Xavier our guide. I visited with my boyfriend. We left Bordeaux at 0930 and returned approx 1630. We visited Saint emilion first and had an hour to wander the village. Then we visited Chateau La Rose des Vents winery for a tasting of 1 white/3 reds. We had a preprepared lunch which was delicious. Then we visited Chateau Grangey for a tasting of 4 reds and finally we visited Chateau Monlot for a tasting of 1 white/2 reds. The tour was nicely paced. Xavier kept the conversation going throughout and there was an enjoyable mix of learning and general chat. We purchased 6 wines from chateau grangey to have them shipped to Ireland. There were 8 of us in total with a great mix of backgrounds. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!
