5* We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour with the lovely Sophia.
She was such a breath of fresh air, very knowledgeable and experienced; her whole repertoire was consistent and flowed beautifully throughout the walk; linking comments made earlier in the tour. She listened interestedly to our questions, gave witty and interesting replies and facts and was an absolute delight to be in the company of.
I (with my family of 3 others) felt safe and certainly had a ‘value for money’ mornings’ tour of the fabulous Bordeaux city. Thank you Sophia x

Sophia took us all around Bordeaux, which has a rich and deep history of both English and French influence and a lot of 19th and 20th century history. She knows a ton about the city and it was like being shown around by a friend who is in love with her city and loves talking about it.
The tour included advice on cuisine, shops, and local insider advice on the best places to sample various deserts (Dunes blanches and Canele, along with the history of each).
The tour includes the the riverfront and many of the markets.

Bordeaux City Private Guides Tour, 11/8/2022
It was worth it! Sophia is excellent and professional. She took the time to understand what we want to see and was flexible enough to tailor the tour. She showed us spots in Bordeaux City that we would have not known by reading, a little bit about the history of the city, culture and the relevant current events. Overall a very good tour.

Sophia's private tour of Bordeaux in mid-July was an absolute highlight of our 3-Day visit aboard Crystal Cruise lines to Bordeaux. Sophia reached out before our tour date and inquired about what we were interested in seeing. This led to a beautifully personalized and engaging experience while tasting delicious local treats along the way! Her deep dive into Bordeaux's history, combined with her passion for the city's contemporary culture created a truly unforgettable afternoon. Her ability to connect historical events with the city's present-day life was fascinating. Sophia's enthusiasm was infectious, making the tour feel like spending an afternoon with a knowledgeable friend! We would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Bordeaux. When I read through Sophia's reviews before booking our tour, I found it hard to believe she had received 5 stars from everyone. After a few minutes with her you realize why. If it were possible, I would have her take me to every new city/place as my guide. She intertwines history, stories, and recent events seamlessly. Thank you, Sophia, for making our first day in Bordeaux perfect!

We received a warm and pleasant welcome from Sophia, had a nice stroll through the city. Sophia was very knowledgable and shared lots of interesting local information, not just on the history of the city, but also arts and culture. Would highly recommend her, Sophia’s smile and fun nature really set her apart from other guides!

You were amazing Sophia... thank you for sharing not just your city but so much of yourself and your beautiful energy. We learned about the city, the neighborhoods, the topics being discussed and real life stories and information. It felt like we really had a friend taking us around the city.

In short, an amazing experience! Sophia’s private walking tour was a fabulous way for us to get to know Bordeaux, from its past to present, including where to buy the best local cakes! We learned so much but in a very personalised, relaxed way, along with gaining insider tips for our time in this beautiful city, and having lots of fun along the way. Sophia obviously has a passion for history that she shared through stories that made the city’s history come alive. She took the time to understand our interests and prior knowledge, which meant she then adapted our tour in keeping with them. We highly recommend discovering Bordeaux with Sophia!

Sophie was a terrific guide. She really gave us a sense of the city from the perspective of someone who lives there. We saw lots of historical places but also some more contemporary ones. Our tour really opened our eyes to what a vibrant and lovely city Bordeaux is.

We did a two hour walking tour of beautiful Bordeaux with the delightful Sophia. She totally brought Bordeaux to life, sharing a mixture of history and current day information to create a truly intriguing and enjoyable walk around this historic city. Our only regret was that we didn't do this on day one, and book another tour with Sophia during our stay. Sophia kindly shared so many tips for our stay - which made for a wonderful experience. If you are looking for an English speaking guide, I cannot rate her highly enough.
