Our walking group took a guided walk in Kilarney National Park as part of our weekend break. The walk was excellent, and the walking guide Richard Clancy made our day. We took in a circular loop over six hours which begun at Muckross House and circled Muckross lake and Torc.

The beautiful weather made my job very easy ,as the scenery did the talking. As well as that the good humour of your group made it a very memorable day for me, a day I will never forget. I needed a long walk after I sampled the lovely pastries from the top class baker in the group, followed by some more refreshments at the far side of Loch Mhucrois in Dinis Cottage. This cottage is over two hundred years old, its always a great place to stop for a cupán tae, and view the Old Wier Bridge plus the Meeting of the Waters, Thanks for walking with me, and giving me such a lovely day out. Slán go fóill (bye a while).

Great walking tour! Loved the history surrounding the Park as well as the animal sightings throughout our walk. The views were breathtaking and quite relaxing. Richard, our guide was brilliant in showing us his "backyard".

I am delighted that you enjoyed the walk in my back garden Killarney National Park so much. The deer didn't take much notice of us, as their thoughts turn to romance at this time of the year. The red deer in particular are very vocal, while the sika deer emit a piercing scream. Thanks very much for your great review, and I hope you can return again sometime soon. Slán go fóill (bye a while).

Yes I was born and reared just across the road from Killarney National Park, and its my favoutite walking place since then. I love all the woodland trails around the lakes where you will usually see red, and sika deer. See the 15th century Ross Castle, or the area where Queen Victoria visited in 1861 or the Hollywood film Ryans Daughter was on location in 1969. Thanks for the great review. Slán go fóill.

Highly recommended, unforgettable experience. Richard It’s a tour guide. A couple and I went on a two-hour walk with Richard's guiding today. Because of my inconvenient traffic, so he’s very nice ,drove me to the waterfall.

It was very nice to meet you, and learn about the culture of another country. Its always educational for me walking with people in Killarney National Park that's why I always enjoy it so much. Glad I was able to give you the chance to see Torc Waterfall near Muckross House, and the nearby 15th century Muckross Abbey. Thanks for the great review, and come back again. Slán go fóill (bye a while).

A great morning’s walk in the National Park, Killarney with Richard our guide. He knew all the spots to capture views of the Lake and mountains and to round it all up we encountered a herd of wild red deer. Highly recommend!

I am delighted you enjoyed the walk so much, Killarney National Park has a lot to offer not just the beautiful scenery of lakes, woods, and mountains but things like the red deer you mentioned. We also have the smaller breed of sika deer which were introduced here from Wicklow in 1865. Thank you for the great review, and please call again. Slán go fóill (bye a while).
