Overview

Beyond Dublin, Ireland offers enchanting castles, ruins, and other notable landmarks, and on this day trip, you’ll see three of the country’s most popular highlights. Don’t worry about arranging trains or navigating the countryside yourself; an air-conditioned coach makes it simple to discover Blarney Castle (and the famous Blarney Stone), Cahir Castle, and the Rock of Cashel in a single day.

What to Expect
Meet your guide at a convenient location in central Dublin and hop aboard an air-conditioned coach. En route to stops at three of Ireland’s top landmarks, relax and enjoy the rolling, green scenery of County Tipperary and County Kildare, supplemented with commentary from your guide.

First, you’ll visit Blarney Castle, home to the famous Blarney Stone. Legend has it that those who climb the tower’s 127 steps to kiss the stone will earn “the gift of the gab.”

Next, head to Cahir Castle, one of the Ireland’s largest castles scenically located on a island in the River Suir.

Finally, visit Rock of Cashel, an impressive archaeological site with thousands of years of history, before returning to Dublin, where the tour ends in the evening.

Good Day Trip with Examples of Three Different Types of Castles

This was a day for visiting castles, if that is your thing. I've seen people who would have rather visited Cork City; personally, I can say that in the day trip format, I appreciated having plenty of time to visit Cahir Castle (which is lovely)...More

There’s more to Blarney than the stone

We did not wait in line for 90 minutes to see the stone, but rather spent our time exploring the immense gardens and castle grounds at Blarney. So beautiful! But the best part of this day trip is the visits to Rock of Cashel and...More

A must see!

Bo Bo (driver and guide) was excellent! From singing songs to giving advice on where to go and not go in Dublin, he made the trip go by so fast! Why would you NOT go to Ireland and kiss the Blarney Stone? Decide first if...More

The bus we were on did not have a toilet, however, our driver did make stops throughout the day for bathroom breaks.

They picked us up at the Molly statue. It will state it on the itinerary. The buses usually wait on the main road so you can’t miss it.
