I did his tour through Rabbie's and our guide/driver was Helen. Helen was friendly, upbeat, funny, and very informative. She made a couple of stops at locations for us just to marvel at the scenery and made sure there were plenty of bathroom breaks built into the day. She really made the day enjoyable, I would definitely take another Rabbie's tour.

This was a fantastic tour, highly recommended! Our tour guide, Duffy, was friendly and helpful, showing us some beautiful locations and viewpoints as he filled us in on the history along the way. An excellent balance between seeing multiple locations and getting to spend some time at each, with a smaller group. Absolutely wonderful!

What a delightful experience to cover the beautiful landscape of Isle of Skye in one day. The guide, Duffey, was able to tell us all sorts of fun facts and stories about landmarks, rock formations, people, characters and much more. A truly fun and interesting experience worth every penny.

An early start and a full day but worth the effort.
Tour guide Alana went out of her way to help and inform everyone-and she obviously likes working with people!

Wow where to start. Today with my brother we attended to a day toor with Highland Explorer Tours. We where very fortunate because the weather was clear and sunny. The tour is a proximity of 8 hrs. Our guide Fraser was simply amazing. He was funny and entertaining, he’s knowledge of the History and the Country was inimitable. He told us a lot stories about he’s family and him growing up at this beautiful place which made the tour special.
We stopped at every special spot.
During the trip we where listening to some folklore and today’s Scottish music. The atmosphere was simply super friendly.
Not to mention that he is a polite and great driver, we felt completely safe under he’s care.
Thank you so so much and hope to see you soon
Greetings Dóri and Marcell 😀

Would like to write a 7 Star review for Alana and Highland Explorers. You made our visit memorable and insightful with a touch of local feel, history and beautiful fairytales for our 6 years old….who continues to think of Scotland as the land of Fairies and Unicorns.
Alana you are absolutely amazing, the passion for your motherland and showing its beauty to all of us deserves praise and appreciation.

Our small group tour started at 8am at the Inverness Bus station. Having been on the Outlander tour from Edinburgh we had a certain expectation from this one too, but our guide Alana blew our minds!
By the time the tour ended at 8pm, we were not only awed by the sheer beauty of the Scottish highlands but also the amount of locations Alana covered in a single day! Moreover despite being the only driver she kept us entertained and informed with a constant stream of historical facts, tidbits of information, general talk and even a waulking song along with some lovely Scottish reels. We were an inquisitive lot and Alana met every question with a smile and a detailed answer.
She was ever so patient at every stop never hurrying us along and still managing to keep to the schedule. We were travelling with our 6 year old daughter and during the stops Alana kept up a steady flow of conversation with her, drawing out her interest and making her happy instead of a bored, cranky child.
Thanks to Alana, in a single day we covered Lochness, Ratagan pass, Eilean Donan castle, lunch at Portree, Fairy falls & views of Black Cuillin (it was raining so the Old Man of Stoer was hidden in fog), Lealt falls, Staffin, Kilt rock & Mealt falls, Trotternish ridge and Quirang, whiskey tasting at Broadford and a few more in between. We were made as comfortable as possible with ample toilet stops & even tea/coffee/snack breaks.
It could have been a standard tour like any other, but Alana’s own enjoyment of it, her enthusiasm for showing us around and her love of the land made the experience exceptional for us. I highly recommend anyone visiting Inverness to book a tour with Alana as they will be in for an amazing experience. Thank you Alana!

This tour was amazing. Our guide Iain told great stories while we were passing through all the amazing landscapes. He has been an English teacher for foreigners in the past, so he was able to explain things in a way very understandable for those which don't have English as first language. He tried to adapt the tour as best as possible to the pace of the groups, making sure we saw as much as thr time allowed. Highly recommend!
