      Great
Really good trip. People need to know it's not a bus tour it's an Afternoon Tea experience. We had a great day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I would make was I would like a few more sandwiches and less cakes.Scones were lovely. We didn't have the Gin experience, but quite like the sound of some of the other experiences. The staff even gave us a little sing song.Would recommend and go back for one of the other trips.

      Amazing Day
What an absolutely amazing day, There was more than enough food. My partner is gluten intolerant the GF select was unbelievable with GF cakes and sandwiches washed down with gin. The staff are super friendly and Stuart our driver was brilliant. I would highly recommend this tour.

      Girls big birthday trip.
Wow, what an amazing experience. We were a group of 5 ladies, we booked the gold package, for one of the girls birthdays. The lads on the bus were amazing, nothing was an issie, food was lovely. Great selection, and great also great tunes. Would highly recommend this.

      Fantastic experience
We were a party of 6 and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the red bus tour with lovely food and drinks and great entertainment thanks to all the staff. We had such a good laugh and from entering the bus to leaving it we had such a lovely time. A big thanks to ALL the lovely staff in the Glasgow team for all their hard work and for being so attentive to everyone. I liked this so much I would love to do it again in the future.

      Experience being an apt word!
Experience being an apt word! Sadly an expensive experience I would not repeat. We got off the bus halfway through at the first stop. Two dunks of a teabag in a plastic cup with a silicone sippy lid on top is not my idea of an Afternoon Tea experience. Whilst I recognise the need for safety there are far more suitable unbreakable drinkware available. It was mentioned to staff but they seemed dismissive or not interested. On our table one of the glasses of bubbly was only half full. Evidently bottle ran out. Didn’t matter glass did not look clean so didn’t drink it. Food looked nothing like pictures. Whilst I appreciate that it is a vintage bus table and surrounds are grotty. We advised driver we were not getting back on bus. A very noisy, uncomfortable, experience! Definitely would not recommend!

      Horrible horrible.
The concept is great however the execution is horrible. My dad and I paid for a table for two and were placed in the front of the bus on the top. The weather was 65 degrees outside and sunny. Upstairs it was at least 100 degrees. When we were getting on, the gentleman state it will get cooler as we get going. I seriously almost passed out. I had to get water five times. We sat in traffic for an hour. Then we stopped to go to the bathroom. The ONE time the driver spoke was to point out Bob the dog. The sandwiches were ok. The desserts were melted from the heat. No forks so the cheesecake went to waste. I literally was fanning myself with a menu some gentleman brought our level fans when he saw the whole level was dying. Concept is great…. But some fans. Invest in your product. I would not do this again or suggest to anyone to spend their money. They crammed my elderly dad and I in a small seat and gave a young couple a table for two. Never again

Bit of fun on a rainy day
Friendly staff looked after us on our tour round Edinburgh while we enjoyed our food and fizz. Soft drink options are available also. The food was better than expected in particular the scones were very light and tasty. Fun music played during the trip interspersed with a few bits of local information. The route itself was a little random so if you’re looking for a more informative tour this isn’t it. We had a fun 1.5 hours touring the streets of Edinburgh and enjoying our goodies.

Great way to see some Glasgow sights.
A wonderful High Tea for my mother's 90th birthday. Interesting sights with information on each place we passed and a the stop at the transport museum to take a short break was a good idea. Wonderful staff who were most helpful and full of the famous Glasgow banter. Driver was there to welcome us. Birthday package was well presented and food was delicious. Worth doing as a tourist or local.

Spilling the Tea on Red Bus Bistro
Fun and different experience - Loved afternoon tea (treats were delicious), the music was great (you should always listen to the Proclaimers when visiting Edinburgh), a suggestion would be to lower the price a hair for people who don't drink OR offer a free soda in place of the prosecco, but other than that we enjoyed our trip with Red Bus Bistro!

A lovely way to spend a rainy afternoon
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour around the city. I am Glasgow born ,but it was still lovely to go to places that I haven’t been to in a while, and have fantastic sandwiches and dainties , along with a glass of Prosecco and a nice big mug of tea. I enjoyed the singalong at the end. The tour guide was a lovely woman. The only thing that made it more perfect was if I had my sister with me. Next time ! Donna

Had a wonderful experience on Friday. 28 June. Staff were very friendly, pleasant and good entertainment. Afternoon tea was off a good standard. Sandwiches cakes scone all fresh and well presented. Cocktails were well made and presented. Definitely worth a try if your going to Edinburgh. Round trip approximately 90 minutes.

We turned up and, as said, waited until just before 6, in the cold to board. We were the first called and were taken to our table which was fine. One of the plus points was the antipasti board which was interesting enough. The other plus point was our waitress who did a fantastic job all round.

The down points. This is billed as a Harry Potter themed dining experience but there is very little theming. They have some “house” towels and a stuffed hedwig but in my opinion they seemed to really miss a chance to make this amazing by doing things related to HP like sorting families, themed drinks and food etc.

We started our tour only to find that the majority of time we were not going past Harry Potter places as they are in such a confined place in the city. When we did, our guide would point them out with limited detail, unlike the Potter trail which is a free walking tour and presents better value for money.

Finally, we realised we had been stationary for a while, only to find out we had broken down. Again the lovely waitress was sent to appease us and we waited, and waited, and waited ....

Finally, the guide returned looking flustered saying he had been told to find something to do. Someone on the bus had some Harry Potter trivial pursuit which we did (a highlight of the trip) but it made it clear he had little interest or knowledge in the subject which is not ideal in a tour guide. After twenty more minutes, and a well rated chocolate frog, we called it quits and started the long walk home. We missed half the tour and several stops and spent the 20 minutes walking discussing how this could be a great opportunity but it is not made to be so by poor theming and interest in the story. I would avoid and do a walking tour as this covers the key sites in so much detail!

I am sorry you didnt enjoy your tour with us, unfortunatley the bus breaking down was out with our control and we did everything in our power to resolve this issue Regarding the tour itself we are not a harry Potter tour we are a themed dining experience. If you have any other issues please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

The bus interior is BEAUTIFUL, with lovely little homely touches like cushions on the seats (not your average bus!).

The food and drink was a unique and memorable dining experience. Can you believe they cook the homemade pizza on the bus!!! (downstairs, while the dining is upstairs). I felt like I was on one of those royal trains with the people outside looking up jealously at us drinking our prosecco as we passed by.

The tour was fun, with a themed quiz where all the tables could join in. The tour guide was clear and easy to listen to.

All the staff were so nice!! And there were all ages on the tour from kids and grandparents to couples, and the tour guide did well at including everyone and making us all feel welcome.

The tour was ok overall but could have been so much better. The food was really nice but the overall experience was totally lack lustre. At one point we parked up outside the Dynamic Earth Centre for more than 20 minutes and there was no explanation for why this happened and why this was part of the trip. The bus engine stayed on the entire time and the fumes from the engine were awful. There was absolutely no tour guiding of any kind at this point and we were left to just sit and wait. We had paid a lot for the experience so we were disappointed that so much of the tour was just killing time before we were brought back. There wasn't much in the way of actual tour guiding and while there were a few facts about JK Rowling, Harry Potter fans will be disappointed. There were random stories about druids and Scottish legends but as we were on a Harry Potter experience, it would have been so much better if there was more of a focus on this. The bus was not decorated with Harry Potter items, except for one square of material over four of the seats which had the different houses on it and a scarf tied to the wing mirror. I have also done the Edinburgh ghost tour bus and would definitely recommend doing this instead.

We undertook this tour as a group of 11 on a hen do. The bride to be loves Harry Potter and this tour did not disappoint. The Harry Potter expert hosting the tour (Erin) was fantastic and provided an engaging experience for the whole group. We all learnt lots about the different sights in Edinburgh and loved the house quiz! The food was also excellent and the teapot cocktails were delicious. All the staff could not have been more accommodating and it was certainly a highlight of the hen do.

I would definitely recommend this tour to any Harry Potter lovers!

A really great time. We were 8 adults and 4 children everyone enjoyed the experience. Food was really good and catered for a couple of special dietary requests with no problems. Narration during the trip was great and kept everyone involved. Best of all we would all do it again. Thanks for a really great evening.

We had a lovely time on our Harry Potter Bus Tour. We had reserved two tables in the top of the bus, were right in front, had great views, lovely food and were very entertained with both Potter info and Edinburgh info throughout the tour. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was very good. A great afternoon!

If you have 90 minutes to spare and like a bit of Harry Potter trivia then give this ago.
Georgia Lee was our tour guide for the evening and certainly knew her slitherin from her gryffindor. In addition to this she mixed in plenty of Edinburgh history and folklore.
We enjoyed pizza and white wine but if going back would go for the cheese board as it looked amazing. Assuming you like cheese of course.
    Enjoy

I enjoyed seeing around Edinburgh, some parts I had never seen before. It was very friendly and enjoyed the HP quiz and of course pizza and Prosecco. The tour guide Benjamin from Kirkcaldy was very good and we had a good laugh and banter with him. Very enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

Our tour took place Saturday 15/08/20 myself my husband and granddaughter were more then happy with the excellent service provided on this tour. Food was fresh made no frozen ingredients. My granddaughter said it was the best pizza she has had ! Very generous wine/ Prosecco with our meal. The interaction with the staff was above and beyond. Would highly recommend this tour with children or without.
