This free walking tour of Edinburgh is a great choice for first-time visitors who want to get their bearings of the city and learn more about its history. By exploring the city with a guide, you’ll be able to stop looking at a map and focus on enjoying the sites around you. Your guide will teach you about secret places locals love, as well as the Old Town’s most famous sites. Highlights include St. Giles’ Cathedral, the Mercat Cross, Edinburgh Castle, and much more.

What to Expect
The walking tour will take you up and down the network of cobbled streets and back allies that make up the historic heart of the Old Town of Edinburgh.  The tour runs for around two hours and you can expect to see sights such as St Giles Cathedral, the Mercat Cross, Greyfriars Kirk and graveyard, the George Heriot School and Edinburgh Castle (from the outside).  Every guide who works with us is strongly encouraged to develop their own tour route to help ensure that they are passionate about the stories and history that they deliver on their tour.  We believe this tour will give you a good understanding of Edinburgh and is a great basis for the other tours that we offer.

Great Walking Tour of Edinburgh

Just finished a walking tour with Dove this afternoon. It was fantastic! This is a must do in Edinburgh. Dove was full of interesting facts which she delivered with humour. Definitely check out this company. Well organised and value for money.

I left 20 euros between for my boyfriend and I. The tour was outstanding, so we over tipped. However, I think 5 euro per person would suffice.

Hey, I don't think, there should be any problem with that. The walking distances are not that great and you also have a little break in the middle of the walk. Greetings
